House Tyrell and winning Elaena's betrothal

i heard if you don't ask Margery Tyrell for help at the start of ep 1, then she asks Olenna to encourage elaena to accept the betrothal in ep 2. Do I still need to offer the glenmores the ironwood groves to win the betrothal if i do this?

    Yes you still need to offer Ironwood in order to win the betrothal. Oddly enough having Mira write the letter gives Rodrik a better deal from a story perspective since he didn't have to offer Ironwood in order to win the betrothal.
