Episode 2 not recognizing Episode 1's choices

I bought the game on Steam sale, had the opportunity to try it out today. After completing the first episode thoroughly, I took a break and closed the game. Now when I launched the next ep, during the intro it shows me the parts I've not chosen, even though in "Choices" it shows my choices for ep1. Any thoughts on how to fix this?

    I had the same issue where my choices in episode 4 didn't move over to episode and really messed up the story I was meant to follow. This somehow effected my choices from episode 2 and 3 too which clearly didn't play out. Weird.
