I'm Confused about Chapter 2

Ive realized today that in some areas on the site that Chapter 2 is called The Siege of Spinner Cay and some areas it says The Siege of Spinner City
Can someone please explain this? What is the name? Do they mean the same thing?

    I'm pretty sure it's Cay and not City, I don't know when the word City surfaced but I think I remember seeing that somewhere else as well.

    If you go to the game page it says City
    I think it was originally called City and maybe they decided to change it
  • edited August 2009
    Would have been a good decision imo.

    I never noticed that, actually. I've always seen it being referred to as "Cay".

    Just go to the game page
  • edited August 2009
    The game will be called Spinner Cay, not Spinner City. Don't worry! ;)

    I know
    Im just curious about the change

    Yeah, me too. I hadn't noticed that before, but now I wonder.

    I'm guessing Spinner City was a working title. Or 'title in progress..'

    wow good catch there xD never noticed that

    Just looks like one typo on a single graphic heading that's caused the confusion.

    Yeah, someone made a typo on the Tales page. It's always been Spinner Cay, but something went weird today. Probably this.

    Thanks for that.

    I never noticed it before either, but good to know it hasn't changed then. :)

    I think Spinner City actually sounds cool
    At least it wasn't Spin City as seen from the vid
  • edited August 2009
    Spinner City, no.. Doesn't sound that cool, now Cay sounds excellent!

    What the heck is a Cay anyway?

    An Island formed by coral reefs, looks like a regular island, except it has different sand, and other things.

    I hate to answer with wikipedia. There were better times... before every speculation was answered with GIYF and people used to discuss.

    We should start calling it the Siege of Spinner Quay just to confuse everyone.
  • edited August 2009
    I bet they'll change the name again to like The Siege of Spinner Cayman Island

    ZOMG, someone tell IGN, all forum posts by TTG staff are 100% serious and should be reported as news!

    I can't wait for The Tax Shelter of Monkey Island, last I heard Yare had announced it would be coming out on iphones and toasters worldwide!

    I still don't get it

    That's okay. I'm still trying to understand that whole Monkey Island 5 sucks thread that came out a few weeks ago.

    So Spinner Cay... Is Cay pronounced "kay" or "key" (like "quay" is?). I thought you said it like "key", but since the Majus video I'm thinking I was wrong...
  • edited August 2009
    i thought the add says The leech of spinner cay :S lol

    Cay is definitely infintiely more piratey than city. Cay is Kay, Quay is Key and Bouy is BOY - not booey as I've so often heard our US cousins refer to it....just like Herb is Herb not Erb - because it has a *&@£ing H in it....:)

    Ah English pronunciation rules. Do you know this one?

    Fish could equally well be written as "Ghoti".
    "Gh" as in enouGH
    "o" as in wOmen
    "ti" as in naTIon

    Haha! Nice one Hans - try some Scottish ones on for size:

    Finzean = Fingan

    Strachan = Strawn if it's a place, Strakan if it's a name

    Dundee = Scumdee (!)

    I think that's ridiculous and "City" is just the wrong word altogether. =p
