Wallace and Gromit has a dry sense of humor, make sure you go for that thing if you get it. I do, and I liked it, but it may not be everyone's cup of tea.
Well, try the demo, I personally would choose strong bad or sam and max season 1 to start, seasn 2 of sam and max kindof spoils season 1.
Also, remember, Sam and Max season 1 has a free episode.
You never know about Monkey Island... I mean only one episode is out. Wallace & Gromit on the other hand is finished & I have played every episode. I personally loved all of them. I guess it depends on what you are looking for. If you are looking for super funny, go with Monkey Island. If you are looking for a game with charm & dry humor, go with Wallace & Gromit.
If you want a game with a lot of randomness that still kinda make cense, choose sam and max season 1, if you want a random game that makes you not get the joke for a few episodes only to realize taht it was a HUGE plothole sam and max season 2
and by Huge plothole, I ment T.H.E.M, I've seen the videos and they appear in episode 1 and 2 out of pure randomness, and then get a role in episosde 4 and get sam, max, and bosco into hell
If you want a game that is in your face and a little random funny, go with strong bad. The post above talks about wallace and gromit along with MI

Thats because that is the 2 games he was asking about...
From what I have seen, Tales of Monkey Island seems to be best so far.
Wallace and Gromit is ok, but I dont feel that it is nearly as good as the original 3 cartoons (A Close Shave, Grand Day Out and The Wrong Trousers). I have only played the demos of W&G though, so they may be better in full.

The full game is definitely better than just playing the demos, I can personally verify that.

Agreed so I'm not going to repeat it. To add though, if you wanting to play now, then Wallace and Gromit is your choice as all of the episodes are released and you can go through them as quick or as slow as you want. Where as with Tales of Monkey Island, you'll be waiting a month inbetween each episode(Although fair play, compared to the 9 year wait for another MI game to be made it is pretty miniscule). Consequently, if you don't like waiting a month inbetween to find out what happens next, then it might be worthwhile getting ToMI later, and W&G now.
Comments
Either Wallace and Gromit the grand adventures or Tales of monkey island.
Which one is better?
I merged your nearly identical threads.
ToMI is friggin' awesome.
Sam and Max is frigginest awesome. Both seasons.
Also, remember, Sam and Max season 1 has a free episode.

See?

1. Sam and Max Season 2
2. Strong Bad
3. Sam and Max Season 1
4. Wallace and Gromit Season 1
But I'm sure if I had played Monkey Island it would be towards the top since I love those games.
