The Scurvy Raider II has come home, sailing into port for a reunion that onlookers called teary-eyed and joyful. It will once again become a beacon of light into the soul of what we are making.

I think he's referring to DeathSpank, I could be mistaken.

Why would he be talking pirate-y language and the word reunion if it's something to do with DeathSpank?

Because he had the first ship while he was working on the MI games? I don't know, that's just how I think he means it.

It's a pirate ship, and he got it (or a new copy of it) back.

It actually does sort of seem that way in a strange sort of way...but I'm not counting on anything.

yeah... probably you are right... but who doesn't like to dream?
and i believe all of us here wouldn't consider it a bad thing if ron would actually deside to rejoin LA and do his 3. MI...
but it's not very likely to happen...

anyway... how long till 20 august? can't wait much longer ^^

Haha well knowing Ron, he wants us to read too much into it.

If he is making another MI adventure with LucasArts, I don't think they'll let him rewind to 1991. They'd say "It's MI5 or nothing. We'd be glad of anything you bring to the table."

It's about Lucasarts sending him his old Lego pirate ship he used to have on his desk when he worked there. Thinking that quote has anything to do with Monkey Island is reading way to much into things.

    Fixed for supreme accuracy.

maybe the new pirate ship is a bribe to make him go back! Quick, Telltale, send him a lego pirate city before he's lost forever!

or maybe I'm imagining things again :D

Uhmm, he's not really using pirate-y speak. It's about his lego pirate ship, so he used some nautical metaphors that are very commonly used in English, e.g sailing into port; beacon of light. It's not like he went, "Arghh!" People are reading way too into this.

Well, at least they wouldn't have to change the logo (the lego games are produced by Traveler's Tales Games... TTG).

    Lego Monkey Island? *shudders*

Actually, they would, because I doubt either Traveller's Tales nor Telltale would like sharing the company's logo.

But, that's a bit of a moot point anyway, Traveller's Tales are a bit busy with Lego Indy 2 right now.

    Lego Monkey Island? *shudders*

That's not shudders, that has shiver'me'timbers epic WIN written all over it.

Sure, the LEGO games are repetitive, but I give Traveller's Tales credit for the hilarious facial expressions & OCD-collective-behaviour they've implemented in their games.

Apart from that, taking the LEGO monkey island figure that was photoshopped in the 'shoppin contest into account: that one looked fantastic!

I am about 99% sure that will not fit Monkey Island, nor will it happen, but hey ^.^
