Question about the Voodoo Lady's lover
The guy in the locket, who I have to talk to when Guybrush gets to the Jerkbait Islands...
Is that also the father of Voodoo Lady's children?
In MI3 we find out she has kids, they left their paper voodoo doll toys on the floor...
What do you guys think?

I probably wasnt listening closely enough, I just remember Guybrush was creeped out when she offered to show him the pictures.
*speculates about who just answered my question*
Naw it couldnt be...
Chuck Jordan.
Thanks for the reply and thanks for the link.
Cool to know. I always assumed "the voodoo children" (or whatever she called them) were simply locals. Never really had the thought that they were her kids
Cajun Zombie
is he the cajun man from saturday night live ?(adam sandler ) now turned zombie ? Click me for cajun man ?
Wishful thinking I guess, heheheh
I mean, someone has to carry on the Voodoo torch, right?
So nice to see that the devs been studying their lore! Wish that would have happened with EMI
Perhaps Chuck wrote that lore in the first place...
Indeed. (Chuck was one of the writers on Monkey Island 3.)
He must be tempted to join the revolution that is TTG!
Lol it's ok I like where it's going.
Even nicer! Most of the times it's harder to remember the lore that you wrote yourself.
Does Murray have a backstory or was he some random skeleton pirate from LeChuck's fleet?
What happened in order to leave the Sea Cucumber in Guybrush's hands? (seeing as Haggis said the barbers would be sailing back to Plunder Island as soon as repairs were complete)
Why couldn't I buy a Smuggle Bunny from the Smugglers? I really wanted one...
The timeframe on Blood Island is somewhat self-contradictory. Minnie is Griswold's great aunt and yet from what he was saying, he'd have had to have been in the same generation as her in order to be proprietor of the hotel when he locked the guest room with Charles De Goulash in.
How did Murray a) get to Blood Island and b) get on that hidden high ledge above the coffin in the crypt next to Mort's abode?
Did Murray hide amongst the skulls in the tomb when he disappeared?
Regarding the portrait of the beer girl, what has to be done for Guybrush to realise her eye is following him?
Whose (brilliant) idea was it to have a song sung at sea? Were there ever plans for more verses?
What was Kenny's mother supposed to look like?
What was Blondebeard's walkthrough speaker all about?
Was there any concept art made of the Voodoo kids?
What happened to the other two cannibals from SMI?
Did the cannibals have to evacuate after Guybrush set off the volcano?
I wonder how many high school kids wrote about the hand lotion in their History essays?
Why was Elaine so underused?
Was there anything you planned to go into the game that didn't make it?
What do you think of all the continuity errors EMI had about H T Marley and Herman Toothrot?
How come the Voodoo Lady in MI2 was adamant you could escape LeChuck by finding Big Whoop then in CMI, she wasn't the least apologetic when she said it was one of LeChuck's bases and he was lucky to escape alive (as if it wasn't her mistake)?
Does the Voodoo Lady have a secret agenda in the series?
What happened to Largo LaGrande?
What happened to any treasure you had left in the hold after the sea battles?
If it were the latter, I'd have thrown in all my gripes (albeit very few for this game). Like I said, I'll be over the moon if I get any sort of reply from him/them at all. So I threw in all the questions I could think of off the top of my head on the offchance. Hopefully I'm not the only one wanting answers to some of these.
The only clues pointing in such a direction so far are:
MI2
Largo: "But the Voodoo Lady said SHE did in LeChuck!"
EMI
Voodoo Lady: "Perhaps the fates have intertwined our destinies. Or maybe I have a five-game deal with LucasArts."
TMI
Voodoo Lady: "I'm not paid enough to tell you that!"
You may now continue with your regularly scheduled thread.
Amusing notion, seeing as nobody appears to know her name (every character I've come across making reference to her, calls her "The Voodoo Lady".
In previous games: Guybrush and Elaine. In this one? Nobody *shudders*
Wtf? No. My sig means "if you don't understand now, you never will" vs "if you don't pick it up (or in TMI's case, click on it), it doesn't go in your inventory".
I agree with him.
And I didn't mean to squash any speculation going on -- I'm out of the loop as to what Mark & Mike are doing with the Monkey Island episodes, so they're keepers of the "official" Voodoo Lady story. I just didn't want anybody to assume that there was some complicated backstory for the Voodoo Lady already established in Monkey 3. It was just a gag to explain why there were voodoo paper dolls there!
Chuck, will you be working on some MI episodes now W&G has wrapped up?
Ok ok I get it now (and find it rather funny). Nevertheless, it's staying.
Are you jealous?
Thats all in the past now, and she just wanna move on. Just focus on what you wanna say to her, she wont compare u to her last ex.
His blood does smell like cologne.
Were you one of the main writers for CMI?
Would you consider creating a thread or something for us fans so that we may ask some questions about the story and such? I can understand that that might be against TTGs wishes but you could do it out of office hours?
Just a thought.
And now the kissass:
Thank you for writing the first and greatest adventure game I ever played I can now hold YOU partially responsible for getting me hooked on Monkey Island.
Yours Gratefully
Fwed1
I'll try to get to the other questions on here when I get some more time!
Booooo
Oh well, S&M S3 should be good then! Or whatever other mystical series you may be working on....
