This might be a stupid question but I am going to ask it anyway.
At the end of episode 5, was the guy that tried to kill Bruce Wayne/Gordon working for John Doe/Joker?

Its heavily implied, considering how intently John was watching that broadcast at the bar.
*Edit. I rewatched the scene, and his line that BruceBrothers mentioned insists that he's watching from the distance and observing Bruce before starting his own criminal acts in the future.
I'm not sure. "It's going to be tough to beat that" sort of implies he has nothing to do with it. That might very well be someone else.
I believe it was just a random attack and John Doe was simply watching with interest and it marked the beginning of his obsession with either Bruce Wayne or Batman.
No. That was random radicalised Gotham citizen. He had nothing to do with organised crime. I repeat, he wasn't member of any terrorist group. Police in Gotham works fine. There is nothing to be afraid of.
I read it that way too, but I could be wrong. However, this was most likely not a "random" attack.
Batman has many ennemies after all, I hope Telltale writers will also make clear he can have people fighting by his side as well.
Batman as a loner never worked for me. Someone like him has to be desperate to link up with other people.
By the way, Telltale writers can pat themselves on the back for having made Batman/Bruce Wayne a genuine human being with feelings and emotion, it's a very nice change from the laughably cold Batman in other medias/canons.
The Batman/Catwoman dynamic is given a unique stance here, as usually it's Catwoman who tries to shred through his emotional barrier, here Bruce Wayne is actually more willing to open up about how he feels about her.
I like that, I wish their dynamics was not so abrupty shut down after episode 3. I expected better honestly. Why was she written out of the plot ? She is such a central piece of the Batman mythos. I firmly believed she deserved to be more developed as a character and so should have been her relationship with Bruce.
