I found this on Telltale's twitter page. I apologize if it's already been posted.

The funny thing was that I thought the hand belonged to LeChuck until someone pointed out the ring.

Hopefully we do see LeChuck on this awesome looking cover.

    There better be a poster.

Heh, the funny thing about that was I gave them the idea. :)

I said "Hey you guys should put up another blurry/closeup image of the DVD artwork" and my friend who works there said "Good idea" and the first image appeared a few hours later :p

I'd buy that! I'd buy it five times! Or maybe just once(or twice), but I'd really like it afterward!

I hope it depicts action that never takes place at any point in the game!

Then it will truly be classic Monkey Island coverart.

As far as older pics show, Guybrush, Elaine and a monkey posing at the front of a ship, possibly the Narwhal. It looks pretty awesome, though I didn't see LeChuck in there. We'd just have to wait and see.

...and the ship's called Purcell! Aww sweet.

    *gasp*

And isn't that just his signature? Look for it on the first two Monkey Island covers; it's there as well.

ahh, that reminds me of the first two monkey island covers..they were awesome. i still regret preordering mi2 back in the day...i used to stand in some shops and admired the mi2 cover, but i couldn't buy it, 'cause i already ordered it, but the shop screwed up and it took eternity for them to get the game.
when i decided to cancel the order, the only version left to buy was the low budget box, which was mostly grey and hat a tiny mi2 cover in the corner...blasphemy i say.

..but i digress. i think a print of the limited tomi cover would be in order...and also very likely. so far, telltale released prints of all their cover artworks by steve purcell. i just hope lucasarts won't interfere, since their mi merch isn't all that great.

The monkey takes me back to the good old days. LeChuck's Revenge...

    Ah, Steve. You're my hero.
