LotSN on Amazon.com!

Launch of the Screaming Narwhal now available Amazon.com

a great move by Telltale here, plus it means that those who just wanted to buy the first episode and do so and not be penalised if they choose to buy the whole season.

Not that interested since buying on Amazon doesn't really give me any additional benefits over buying on TTG, but why is this restricted to the US?

I hate Amazon because Amazon hates doesn't like people who happen to live outside the US and want to buy something that isn't a Movie (DVD), a Music CD, a Book or a few selected items.

In the same Amazon page they say
Currently, this item is available only to customers located in the United States and who have a U.S. billing address.

    This is stupid since
    a) You can get the full game worldwide
    b) It is not a physical item

What happened with a little "virtual place" known as "The Telltale Store" that offered the same that Amazon offers, but worldwide (at least for previous games)? Is it being overrun by Bosco's policy of "Twice the price, thrice the inconvenience"?

It is an automatic fraud prevention "feature." There is a longwinded over complicated history and reason why it was instituted, but you can google it. Just know that other countries have fairly lax regulations on what it means to be a Creditor.

If I pay the store, I pay the studio's hard work, all parties happy... who is amazon to decide for me if I am allowed to buy something. this has nothing to do with regulations in other countries.

The only reason they do NOT sell to countries outside of the USA is that they have european Amazon stores that only sell to europeans (and have less goods by the way)... Those stores would be out ouf business quick if you can get the same stuff for less money at the same company. (lets not forget that you get $1,43 for 1 euro)
Amazon lost me as a customer a LOOOONG time ago.

and anyhow... What's so great about this "special amazon deal" anyway.
TellTale has had this policy for every game: Buy episode one, like it, then buy the whole season at a discounted price.

and another thing, If you can buy on the Amazon Store, you can buy at the telltale store too... and get what you want even sooner.

I completely agree with this. I have been hesitant to agree with any criticism of telltale, but this is one criticism of TTG I can fully get behind without any qualms: They should not have outsourced the game to a third party without resolving points A) and B) mentioned above.

This has nothing to do with Amazon having a grudge with people outside the US. In fact it has nothing to do with Amazon at all. In terms of Books and Music plenty of times there are copyright or other rights that prohibit certain works from being sold outside a specific country. Amazon is just a distributor. They don't decide where to sell things, they are told. Digitial Distribution through certain retailers have limitations. For example, a lot of digital content in the UK can't be seen in the US.
