Life Is Strange Season 2
is there any news regarding it? its been more than a year since we heard anything regarding the next installment? we only vaguely know that it will feature a new cast, other than that I don't think I know but yet again, its been months since I last checked, are there any hints or speculation or even theories on this

I don't think so. I've only heard that the team would love to make a season 2.
I hope they make a season 2 at some point down the line. Unfortunately it doesn't seem like it will be happening anytime soon.
Even if there was going to be a season 2, It wouldn't be about Max and Chloe. One of the producers said that the story of Max and her has ended, because they are all grown up now...
I'm sure it's going to happen. The first one was a major success for the studio and they've said that they'd love to make a sequel.
When will it happen? That's a different story. Currently, they're still quite busy finishing up Vampyr. I'd imagine Life is Strange 2 won't release until after Vampyr. Realistically, I wouldn't expect episode 1 any earlier than 2018. If we're lucky, maybe it'd be a January release like episode 1 of the original, but more realistically it would probably release sometime in the spring or summer.
I'd love for an announcement at E3, though. It could just be wishful thinking, but I don't think it's impossible. It's not impossible to think that certain members of the Dontnod staff are currently in the very early stages of planning Life is Strange 2 while everyone else is working on Vampyr.
There are no plans for a season 2 as of now.
Probably no news until after Vampyr comes out, later this year.

I would love a season 2 but like people said it would be hard for them to make a have with Max considering the ending unless she went back in time and started over the first game. But yeah it would be interesting if there was another character living somewhere different and they would also get those powers like there is a certain group of people that get those powers that's just a prediction I thought of but would be cool.

Hey, if there IS a season two, what do you guys think it will be about? I think, Max had time powers, what if the next protagonist has Space powers? Like, Time and Space? Let's say, they teleport instead of rewind, or teleport things. Jump from universe to universe, bring people back from death! Or maybe it will be about the Time Traveler's sidekick... I always wanted a story from the sidekick's perspective. Like, let's say they are they come from a very religious family that hunts down Time Travelers FOR A VERY CONVINCING REASON ACTUALLY and the whole game is the struggle between the friend and the family. Then there is a HUGE plot twist of the Time Traveler actually working with the hunters to hunt YOU down or some shit.

There is no need for that. Max's story is over and I don't even want a new story.
I'd be open to it. The team has expressed interest in doing another season, but that's all we have to go on. Although I didn't like the game so much that I'll lose sleep at night pondering whether or not there'll be a sequel.
The developers work on that one vampire-game. Don't know the name unfortunately.
The next "Life is Strange"-type of game will definitely take some time. Maybe we get some info in 2018. I'd love it, since LiS was amazing.
kinda sad that companies do that, I understand that every product need their time to shine but I care about LIS more though so why not at least hint at something
I don't mind a new story, which that's the case... I just need more of something or anything really about the project..
I wish it feature a different period, like the far far future, or the great (or bad) past. plus more diverse cast etc..
I heard somewhere that they had 2 teams working on 2 projects, & the larger team is working with vampyr, the smaller one which had devs who worked on LIS-S1 are working ok the other project. I wish we had something to discuss because it seems it will take at least 1 or 2 yrs for anything really

There's heavy suggestion they're working on it at the moment. But don't expect news until e3, gamescom or after the release of vampyr

If they took it a little ti the past, like, the thirties, it would be too Bioshock Infinite. And if they took it even further, I would have Assasins' Creed PTSD. Far into the future could work, but it would lose the LiS athmosphere... too much Science Fiction and too little Hipster trash. I think it should stay around 2010 - 2017.
Square Enix has bought a domain that basically screams "LIS Season 2!!!!", but, like someone has previously mentioned, don't expect news until Vampyr comes out.

i refuse to call it a season 2 it will never be a season 2 it is a spin off of life is strange to call it a season 2 means it has to continue where season 1 ended which means a factor must continue max and chloe or just max and her story to even be called a season 2 and neither is happening there for is not or ever going to be a season 2 its just a spin off of life is strange a spin off or an expanded story with new characters and story but you cant call it season 2 unless it brings back max and continue her story
