Aliens and Intelligent Life on other planets.
Just curious what is everyone's thoughts about possible life on other planets? I would say it's possible given we have found other planets that have similar conditions to Earth. I know we have found life such as water and bacteria, but I am speaking more in terms of Extraterrestrial beings.

Giorgio Tsoukalos says it's very possible. And this man knows what he's talking about.
There are like 200 billion galaxies. We're not alone.
I don't know. How do se even know WE are alive, and that we're nothing more than biological machines? Ir are biological machines the only form of life in the universe? Ir there ARE other biological machines, how do we know they're actually concious and don't act out of instict? How do we even know creatures o earth don't act out os instincts? How do I know EVERYONE ELSE BUT ME doens't act out of insint? WHAT IF I ACT OÍR IR INSTINCT?!????!
We know we're alive because we're the ones who defined what alive means, yet we technically are biological machines.
Perhaps not, but it's beyond our understanding of the universe to assume that an unorganic lifeform can exist outside of Science Fiction.
We have our own definition of what concious and instinct-driven means, which we would automatically apply to new lifeforms, but their definition would most certainly differ.
Again, because we're the ones that defined what instinct-driven and concious means. Besides, most do.
Humans aren't as different as everyone would have you believe. We are all technically speaking acting on instincts, it's just that we've developed enough to realise this and became selfaware.
You need to be the biggest moron in human history if you think this immensely huge universe has only one single planet with life on it.
The real question is "will we ever reach other planets filled with life?"
The distances between planets are massive. The distances between whole solar systems or even other galaxies are unimaginable. With the technology we have, we can't even travel inside our own solar system. In addition to that, humans behave incredibly retarded and waste so much time, energy and ressources by fighting trivial conflicts like wars, politics, religion, wealth, pure hatred etc. Deep down, humans still behave like pitiful cavemen and refuse to use their potential.
But let's - imagine - humans would overcome their stupidity. Even if we had the right mindset and the sufficient technology to travel through space with the speed of light, we probably wouldn't meet life. Because if you travel with the speed of light, you basically travel through time as well.
Let's say we discovered planet X that has life on it. It is far away and with the speed of light, we arrive there in 20 years. But these 20 years only count for us. For everyone else, hell of a lot more time passed, easily thousands of years. So, by the time you arrive on planet X, life may has become extinct 100 years ago and you only discover the remains.
Well, we indeed are biological machines. Nothing wrong with that.
Well the proof of intelligent life on our planet is thin at best....so I have little hope for the rest of the universe.
