Halo 4 is not only one of the worst games I have ever played, it is one of the worst sequels to a franchise I have ever seen. It's hard to believe people actually got paid for making such garbage.
It's unreal how badly 343 fucked up. I could list numerous reasons as to why it's bad but it doesn't deserve it. It doesn't deserve my time or to be talked about other than warning people not to waste their time with it like I did.
But his motivation is to kill templars, it's his job as an assassin.
But he wasn't an assassin by then. He had literally no reason to go to Venice, because as far as he know people who were a threat to his family are gone.
What drove him? Power.
That's boring and misses the point of AC. AC i about two idealogies where none of them are 100% right. In AC 2 they just want power for the sake of it. Why should I, as a player, care? I've seen this 100 times before. EVERY Templar in AC 1, Revelations, 3 and Black Flag has some humanity to them or even when they're awful people their motivations make sense and make you wonder if they really deserved death.
Can you tell me some examples, and then I might be able to tell you!
I was referring to the fact that almost every side character disappears from the story without any satysfting conclusion. The best example: La Volpe. He helped Ezio plan the attack on the Pazzi and then he was gone. It'd be more satysfying if he appeared at the end of the sequence and congratulated Ezio and then go back to the shadows. And don't get me started on Maria and Claudia.
there are some Christina-memories in AC: Brotherhood.
I know, but in the context of AC2 she just disappears, even though she seemed like an important part of Ezio's life. You shouldn't need to play the next game to fill the plotholes of the one that you're currently playing.
He's a very emotional person
On paper. After Mario told him to get his shit together after Ezio brutally murdered Vieri, he became a blank page for the rest of the game. The only time when he shows ANY emotion was when he talked with Rosa about his family's murder. It baffles me how anyone can say that Connor is emotionless and defend AC 2 Ezio at the same time! He spoke almost only in exposition and about what he is going to do next, with Connor and Altair you can see them grow as people every sequence but Ezio matures in one cutscene.
'Requiescant in pace.'
So the only AC 2 quote that is memorable is the one that Ezio repeated 87 times and is just a simple way to show his targets respect. Meanwhile in AC 3:
"It's all a matter of perspective. There is no single path through life that's right and fair and does no harm. Do you truly think the Crown has no cause? No right to feel betrayed? You should know better than this, dedicated as you are to fighting Templars - who themselves see their work as just. Think on that the next time you insist your work along befits the greater good. Your enemy would beg to differ - and would not be without cause."
As for Federico check one of my replys below .
Overall I think that we just look for different things in these games. I want creative, mature, tought-provoking stories with complex characters and a lot of emotion. You, from what I've concluded, look for more entertaining and fun stories with likeable characters and lighthearted tone.
Firstly, I haven't played ACII since 2015, so I don't remember everything in detail. But I will try to answer your questions.
what do … morethe Venice chapters add to the story and what is Ezio motivation during them?
The Venice chapters dragged the game out a bit, I admit that. But his motivation is to kill templars, it's his job as an assassin. He travelled there because there were templars there. He knew they were there because he eavesdropped on a meeting and read a note about it, didn't he?
what drives the villains?
The villain of the game existed IRL. They could only do what they could do with Rodrigo. What drove him? Power. He was a man that just wanted more and more fucking power. The others chose his side because they wanted power as well. That is a very normal villainous trait, so I am not sure why you asked that question.
Why every side character disappears without a word every sequence?

I'm not sure about that. I appreciate most kinds of game, be it horror, action, fps or any other genre. I'm not a guy who dislikes AC3 in general. I just dislike Connor, the other aspects is pretty fun. Coincidentally, I was reading about the Revolution of America in school during the time I played it, which made me even happier. Maybe I don't really dislike Connor as a character... It might just be the guy who does his voice, he just always sound so bored, I feel.
I think Naughtydog is a pretty good company to use your little paragraph for there. I do very much enjoy the uncharted games since they have fun and entertaining stories with likeable characters and a lighthearted tone from time to time. But I also love The Last of Us with all of my heart. Which, of course, is a creative, mature, thought-provoking story with complex characters and a lot of emotion.
Now, I'm not saying Uncharted is a game with non-complex characters. Because we have lots of them, but it was more of an example to show that one could enjoy both.
Btw, I won't bother to answer the other things, since I feel like we've settled that we agree to disagree in a couple of AC games (AC II, III, Unity and Syndicate). I'm glad to read that you did enjoy Brotherhood and Revelations, and if I'm being honest, Brotherhood might be my favourite. Yours seems to be Revelations in the Ezio trilogy, which is fair enough.
Also, one more thing. I haven't really heard you talk a lot about Black Flag, so what are your thoughts on that?

Uncharted 3: Drake's Deception. So, Nathan is NOT a descendant of Francis Drake, WTF?
I just finished Uncharted 3 earlier, there are… more so many plotholes that don't make sense
(So the jar was just a massive sinkhole? Won't that like... continue to keep sinking?
What was the point of the jar when you can just take all the water from the well near the entrance?
How did Talbot survive that shot from Cutter? They make a big deal out of it but later it's completely forgotten about).
I know it's a silly action game that makes no sense (it was a damn fun experience, don't get me wrong) but the finale was a letdown in terms of gameplay (qte bossfight, yay) and story.
Mass Effect Andromeda... I mean I really don't hate it. It's not a bad game, maybe even 7/10 with the patches coming out. But it's not what any of us have expected to get. Let's just hope that the sequel will be a way better (I mean the main plot now).
Oh now I remember a game that stings more than Dragon Age 2. At least in that game, I cared enough about the characters. The game that disappointed me the MOST is Fallout 4.
I loved Fallout New Vegas and how you can use your wits and smarts to solve quests. Fallout 4 takes all of that away and turned it more Borderlandish.

As in, a sinkhole doesn't just stop sinking. It continues to sink. They just kind of walk away from it, yet it swalled an entire city, who is it to say it wouldn't swallow the enitre desert given the time? It's a supernatural thing.
You just mentioned 3 plot holes that nobody cares about

Alien Resurrection
Jurassic Park III
Die Hard 5: I don't even care what the title is right now
A Nightmare on Elm Str… moreeet 4: Spoilers! Everybody you like dies.
Pet Sematary 2: Clancy Brown couldn't even save it
Games:
Mass Effect: Andromeda... Yes, I've defended it, but it really is disappointing compared to what I hoped for. I mean there's no Elcor
(I would have put 3, but I didn't play it until after all the insanity, so it was actually better than I expected)
Assassins Creed: Brotherhood/Revelations. I already played #2. Why did we need this 2+ more times?
Arkham Knight: I HATE DRIVING
KOTOR 2: Good half-made game.
Super Mario Bros. 2(American version): Well, because it's not a Mario game. It was another Nintendo game in which they changed the sprites.
Scream 3 and 4 (both are not that horrible but very boring)
Die Hard 5 (I love the first "Die Hard" movie and also like the first three sequels but this one is just terrible)
Jaws 3 and 4 (the fourth one has maybe the dumbest shark-story ever [not counting intentionally bad shark movies])
Jurassic World (yes, I think this is even more bland and boring than the third one)
Basic Instinct 2 (the original is a masterpiece - part two...mediocre at best)
Blair Witch 2 (not only one of the worst sequels but also one of the worst movies I have ever seen)
Matrix Reloaded (just bad)
Indiana Jones 4 (there is much more wrong with this than just the (boring 50s styled) aliens and the fridge scene)
Rocky 5 and Creed (okay, Creed is not really a sequel - but it's just the same old story from the first one just without the charm)

It had a terrible story with a terrible protagonist. Cole's story was more serious and also had a lot of replay value. Second Son didn't make me replay the game multiple times.
I love Black Flag. There's nothing to complain about which is crazy ( well, maybe a more satysfying ending to Modern Day would be nice). Edward, while not as interesting for me as Connor or Haytham, was a great protagonist. He feels like an extrovert version of Connor, shame they never met. Supporting cast was great, Adewale is one of my favourite characters in the whole series and the rest of the pirates had the same level of depth like AC 3 characters although they are very different. I''m kinda rambling, cause there are only so many ways you can say something is perfect, haha. AC 3 is still my favourite, mostly due to Connor ( I've never felt such a connection to a video game character, maybe except Kenny) and his relationship with Haytham. The more I think about the more I feel like AC 3 and BF are essentially the same game, in terms of story, characters and emotion, but BF is less depressing and more reletable to wider audience, because Edward's dreams and motivation are more appealing to most people than Connor's introvertic personality,
Overall, if I had to make my top 10 AC games it'd go something like that:
1. AC 3
2. Black Flag
3. AC 1
4. Freedom Cry/Tyranny of King Washington
5. Revelations
6. Rogue
7. Unity
8. Liberation
9. AC 2

Maybe. But RE7 disappointed me more.
Why?
Capcom knew about the poor reception of RE6. Unfortunately, instead of fixing what's wrong with that game in RE7 they rebooted the series into some shitty Outlast-clone.
Devil May Cry 2 was disappointment, but Capcom redeemed themselves with brilliant Devil May Cry 3.
Resident Evil 6 got no redemption.
That's why I hate RE7 more.

Oh my fucking god, people always use this shit excuse to describe this game, it's getting so fucking old. Resident Evil 7 was never similar to Outlast other than being on first person perspective cause you're just comparing a horror game where you can't fight back and you're being pursued, with a game that features weapons and main characters. Do you have any more proof that Resident Evil 7 copied Outlast? Also, this isn't even a reboot, it takes place after the events of the previous games.
This is just fucking stupid. Resident Evil 6, no matter what people say, will ALWAYS be the worst game of the franchise.
EDIT: Don't spoil anything, I still have to buy and play it.

I'm not saying that RE6 is good and I'm not saying that RE7 is bad. The topic name is "Sequels that disappointed you the most", not "The worst sequels in the series". That's two different things to me.

Don't get me wrong. It's just that... I don't like gritty FPP horror games, cheap jump scares, unnecessary disturbing images etc. I was very disappointed to see that the new Resident Evil was just that. That's all.

Let's be honest here, the last good Resident Evil game was 4. I still love the Camera's stuck in the corner's of the room Resident evil's. Especially the one we got a PS4 remastered and Nemesis. Those are my favourites, along with 4 on a close 2 place. Resident Evil 5 was garbage, 6 was a disgrace, and 7 was alright, still quite disappointing though.

EDIT: Don't spoil anything, I still have to buy and play it.
I'm not saying that RE6 is good and I'm not saying that RE7 is bad. The topic name is "Sequels that disappointed you the most", not "The worst sequels in the series". That's two different things to me.
So it's just "Outlast with guns" for me.
Don't get me wrong. It's just that... I don't like gritty FPP horror games, cheap jump scares, unnecessary disturbing images etc. I was very disappointed to see that the new Resident Evil was just that. That's all.
There was something before Outlast.
Yeah, my favourite RE game is Resident Evil HD Remake with RE4 being the second. I still wish I played RE2 and 3.
I know. It was a tongue-in-cheek statement inspired by "Like Skyrim with Guns" by Adam Kovic of the Machinima.
The Evil Within is the true Resident Evil 5.
