Telltale says i don't own the game

ive owned the walking dead season two since February, and the last time i played the game was on the 13/04/2017. I didn't have any problems loading or playing the game then but now for some unknown reason on the 16/04/2017 when I try to start the game I get a message that says that i dont own the game. Ive looked for answers on the discussion page but most of them are talking about buying the game from steam and i dont have a steam account so can anyone help me with this issue?
