The Cliffhangers are real (SPOILERS!)
1: Game of Thrones - falling off of a horse, 2 men it seems like, drag you to safety and try to figure out what to do next
2: The Wolf Among Us - When Nerissa talks to Bigby and walks away, he remembers "something familiar" and the player decides to either chase after Nerissa or let her go. Black screen. Black fucking screen. really?
3: Tales of the Borderlands: Rhys and Fiona go into a mysterious vault to claim the treasure inside of it they worked their asses off to get. They both disappear with the purple mist of the vault. Game ends. Thanks. 
4: Minecraft: Story Mode - Jesse and his gang go after the old guy (I haven't played the game in ages so I forgot his name) and they go inside the giant ass portal. Game ends. 8 episodes and STILL a cliffhanger?
I think I'm noticing a trend here.
Will Guardians of the Galaxy end in a cliffhanger? Probably
Will The Walking Dead: A New Frontier end in cliffhanger? Probably
Don't make good titles into cliffhangers!!!! End games like how TWD S1 ended!!!! That was not a cliffhanger!!!

Telltale says they like to keep their stories open-ended in case they ever decide to revisit those franchises.
It kind of was. Lee dies, Clem is all alone and then sees mysterious figures walking in the distance. The End.
Yeah and I remember that was one of the worst, to wait for to find who the two figures were.
