    Actually, the results are pretty good. Japanese and Arabic still pose a bit of a problem but otherwise you get readable results for most texts. Of course the writer's style isn't preserved at all, but it's still pretty darn useful.

    I used to do that, babble about nothing for a while then translate it from like, Chinese, to German, to Spanish, all over the place and back.
    However, this is much easier.

    I always found it funny that "However, this is much easier." in the end translates to "Easy.", or that "Where my hat is at?" ends up being "Hat?"

    I find Google Translate to be much better than other online translating software I've used. It still has some problems though. I found this while experimenting with translating Swedish phrases to English.

    Jag talar svenska. (I speak Swedish) -> I speak Swedish.
    Talar du svenska? (Do you speak Swedish?) -> Do you speak English?
    Jag är svensk. (I am Swedish) -> I am American.
    är du svensk? (Are you Swedish?) -> are you Swedish?

    But at least it's not translating "Talar du Swedish?" to "Do you speak English?" anymore. That was kind of weird.

    Hey thanks for sharing this piece of information, i had been using a software to do that but now after reading this post i started using Google translate and its very effective, I find Google Translate to be much better than other online translating software I've used. I found this while experimenting with translating Swedish phrases to English.,

    Yeah, Google Translate seems pretty good ... much better than other translators I've tried.
    Works very well with the Norwegian, and Scandinavian languages in general.
    Unfortunately, struggling with the Japanese, but it is almost impossible to translate properly.

    Anyone seen 'The Adventures of Goku' on youtube by mychonny? (Contains language that might be considered rude)

    I tried to make a reference to that using Translation party. I failed.

    Note: I did notice the typo but it was very different and less funny without it.

    just look at it enough and you should be able to figure it out (sounds even better when a chick says it ;) )

    A while back, if you translated "nintendo wii" from english to spanish, it would translate to "Sony Playstation". Intrestingly enough, the individual words stayed the same. I don't think it does it anymore though.

    Hey, Google Translate doesn't think that "Talar du svenska?" and "Jag är svensk." refer to English and America anymore! Hooray! They're Swedish and they refer to Swedish and Sweden.

    I put a bunch of catchphrases from Phineas and Ferb in, and "And by unexpected I mean completely expected!" turned into "I fully expect the unexpected sensation!"
