Did the CBS writers just PWN TTG ?

Its true first,Zuiker asks TTG to make a game that would make the player get on the edge of his/her seat. They dont allow script ideas that resemble real cases, then their license doesn't allow TTG to make CSI modifiable (which would increase the players buying it a lot) and actually write the cases themselves. What's worse they didn't inform TTG that :

>Riley is leaving
>Sara is coming back
>Grissom is coming back
>I am staring to suspect that they didn't mention that LF is just a rookie not Grissom's replacement and should thus cut down on the cheesy comments and acting like the boss

Sorry TTG,but it looks like CBS "forgot" to mention some stuff that are important for the development of DI

    (1) Source please, it's probably CBS coming back to developer who's had more success in the past after CSI:NY.
    (2) Source please. If you mean "they can't base the cases on the show's cases", then I might understand.
    (3) Name me a Telltale game that you can freely mod. Hint: you can't. CBS is not responsible for that.
    (4) Source please. I've heard Telltale writes the case, and CBS writes the dialogue.
    (5) Source please, I understand Grissom may appear as the occasional guest, and Sara is guesting in five episodes in Season ten. Not exactly a permanent role, and probably not enough to warrant inclusion in the game.

I think that first statement is pretty accurate. I'm on the edge of my seat when I play DI. Tho, maybe thats just how I sit.. :P

I don't see why you think CBS "PWN"ed us on Deadly Intent. The cases we have are set up to be fun - as games are meant to be. Realistic isn't always necessarily fun. Have you actually ever seen what its like to be a real life CSI? Not quite as dramatic as the show and not as fun as our game. As to the last bit, regardless of who's coming and going the CSI's in our game are the current full time cast members.
I don't think CBS has done anything to prevent us from making a great CSI game. They even added Laurence Fishburne to make our game better! Everything is better with a little bit of Morpheus. :)

Sorry I don't have any sources other than designers speaking on these forums
Designers were proposed to make the games modifieable by the fans and they found it interesting but the license didn't allow them to do so.Its true that TTG writes the case but actually CBS is making facists look democratic (lol). They want to control everything so that the game doesn';t affect the show...in fact CBS are sort of destroying the show right now
There are more of rumours that Sara is coming back than more than 10 (o_0) episodes and Billy Petersen is expected by many to return to the show permanently during S10.Plus,Riley's contract has been cancelled

Sorry for "PWN" I didn't want to sound, harsh just trying to attract some of tthe TTG staff (I guess it worked lol).I know how it is to be a real life CSI,surely 9 hours of close examination of a crime scene is fun on its own way but not if you want it to be in a TV Show or video game.I love the fact that you guys will include real-life "CSI" skills like obsertivity and something that you included in the other 2 games...If you have forensics knowledge then you will even be able to reconstuct the crime O.O.For example I found the blood spatter evidence in 3DoM very good because you could see that there were 2 blows in the first case and that the blood spatter on Daddy's Girl
made absoloutely no sense, suggesting that the scene was fake.I think that CBS has been awful to TTG and you create awsome games (except of the 3D models sorry lol),and about Morpheus...his terrible acting at "No more therapy or so" kinda destroyed my first impression of the trailer. It does look like a "sitting at the edge of the seat game" cause of its atmosphere, like 3DoM.I was disappointed about the atmosphere in HE but it was a great game after all.Good luck with the game ! I hope it wont be the last Vegas one !!!

P.S:Did you guys know that Langston is a rookie lower than all CSIs but Riley ? He seemed like the boss on the trailer.Nice idea having Brass around on the scene,I kept wondering why the Homicide Dept. was not in the other games

Let's just say that no links = no truth.

Sara's only returning for five episodes anyway, as far as I know.

no links = no truth ?

Did you consider the chance that I don't know how to post links here ?

A quick bb code lesson then.

    Delete the full stops.
You can also click the createlink.gif button.

Aside from Riley leaving (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Riley_Adams should be evidence enough), all your other claims I do not believe is accurate.

    thanks for the lesson

As about my claims we will see *sinister laugh*

CBS is treating the fans awfully and you can't stop me thinking that they behaved to TTG awfully too. They consider this game like another random merchandise and that they don't need to inform the creators about any suspected cast changes that might happen

I'm just wondering phaedon, but have you tried any of Telltale's other games? You seem to enjoy their CSI games a lot, so I'm just curious. You can get a free episode of Sam & Max here if you want to check it out.

I just see you posting on the CSI board a lot and I think you might like some of their other games too. :)

This thread is now about last.fm. :p

Seriously, try some Sam & Max while you wait for DI/your predictions to not happen.

@Cityofdeclusion - might as well do that;I pretty much had the last reply in all this years posts in this thread :p

Monkey Island is very good, so far I'm liking it a lot more than Sam and Max, which is saying quite a bit. :)
