The earlier ones featured zombies in them a lot and Resident Evil 2 and 3 give off some TWD vibes with a zombie infested city. But if you were to start anywhere, I would suggest Resident Evil 1 Remastered, which is a remake of the first game.

Jill is unfortunately under quarantine and being treated, which she admittedly says she's utterly bored than anything else. She gets emails from Barry, and if I remember correctly visits once in a while too. This is all taking place right before RE6, so she's been in there for a while.
Seeing this makes me wish you could have these two together more in RE6 (which I loved), but oh well! This is good to see, Leon's flashy as always. lol
