Um yeah... we still got about 8 more hours guys... they usually release around 12:00 NOON pacific time
Take a nap... or something... personally, I am playing a bunch of room escapes... and i doubt i will be furiously checking the site until about 8 am their time
What's up with you
Its still night in the USA. (in Germany 11:49 am).
Chapter 2 will be release in 8h or more.
I'm waiting for Chapter 2, too.
I want to have it, I want to play it...........NOW!!!:p
Aah, I loved messing with people on that IRC chat thread last time.
Good times ^_^
"Quick! There it is!"
'Course, someone else caused me to actually *miss* the moment as I was curious of their mention of the "doomsday clock" - I switched windows back to the chat and it was just a flurry of activity.
Soooo - can we expect another late release? (I seem to remember the last time the plan of "during the day locally" failed =P)
Aah, j/k, you know I loves ya really
Gah, particularly bad in New Zealand. It's nearly the 21st here (11:30pm) and it is the 20th in PST. Damn you time zones! Probably still won't be available when I get up.
Isn't this just getting a little silly? I'm all for silly...in my adventures, but come on! Telltale doesn't give the release date and ppl complain: "When's the release?!" So now telltale does give a date...and ppl are still complaining: "When's it going to be released?!"
Next time telltale might release date and time (in different timezones), but ppl will still flood the forums (or fora..whatever) and complain about the minute, second and millisecond.

AND GET WITH THE TIMES! YOU'RE LIKE WHAT, 12 HOURS BEHIND MOST OF US?
GAH!
I will try again in 7 hours.
Do you not understand? Only one time zone matters, and it's Telltale's! Which is PST, a.k.a. GMT - 8:00. It doesn't matter if it's tomorrow on the other side of the world; if it's August 20, 2009 in the GMT - 8:00 timezone, Telltale has kept their word, and you're judging by a different standard.
They don't know themselves the specific time it will be released. Besides, you and all the other whiners would just complain when it hit 00:00 that it still wasn't out.
Or they'd put it out and miss a crucial bug/glitch that you and others would also complain about.
most things like this are launched midnight pst, simply because it means EVERYONE gets it on the date specified.
the australians and new zealanders get really annoyed by this stuff because for years our games didn't just lag by a day. we would wait for months. we had to wait for the uk release for pal versions, then had to wait for distributors to actually import said uk releases based on UK sales. with the rise of piracy and broadband distributors fixed that situation. but on platforms like the wii it's still pretty commonplace.
it's not much to ask that the server gets told to allow downloads from midnight on the release date. xbox live has done it since the x360 launched. that's roughly two games a week for 4 years.

Oh gosh. Not again. Is it much to ask that we wait a few additional hours? Telltale, as has been said plenty of times, like to be active in order to answer queries and problems regarding the download.
I'm going to preface the next few lines with a disclaimer: I'M AN IDIOT. Okay, now...
IF I WERE IN CHARGE of Telltale Games (and I'm not; I'm an idiot), and I was planning to release the game sometime TODAY (08/20/09), then I would have just told ALL THE FANS ahead of time the game was going to be released TOMORROW (08/21/09), and then I would release it at midnight to please all the TTG fans in the world.

arrrr
no its not hard at all. but i mean they did say the 20th PST. so where is it?
It will be out when its ready...
P.S. quickest way to see when the game comes out? is to keep refreshing your My Purchases page
Oh, and I am going to work on a time killer thread in a few minutes... ill post a bunch of junk you guys should get a kick out of
But they didn't say anything about time, so wait for the next 24 hours
Same time as in the states, only 8 hours later;)
just substract 8 hours of your time to get to PST..... so if they anounce a time, add 8 and you have your time.
(for holland, add 9)
Curse those rotten spatiotemporal relationships!
I want to eat my cake and bake it too.
huh??? are you at sea??? or just not in any summer-time using time zone???

Fellow UKer here - I remember it being up sometime after 6pm last time, so check around then.
