PC vs Console

Over the past 3 years I have became primarily a PC gamer, but I still sometimes go back to play the odd game on consoles. I definitely prefer PC due to the wider selection of games at a cheaper cost and also the more in-depth customisation. Which do you prefer and why?

  • Look at this beard, the PS4 version makes it a master race better.

  • I perfer console I don't know why I don't like PC to much. I'll play smaller games exclusive to PC like Mr. president but I'll play bigger games like Fallout 4 or GTA on console (mostly because my PC isn't powerful fir some games as it is a mac running windows using bootcamp) .

  • Console because:

  • God I hope that Spiderman game is good, they have a reputation of being horrible and it seems like I'm the only one that sees this.

Console because: I could go on

  • All console has over PC is a handful of damn good games like The Last of Us, Uncharted, and the older Halo collection. PC gaming can be a thousand notches over or under consoles depending on what you make of it. What you see is what you get with consoles, for better or worse. Usually worse.

  • Both, lol. I actually enjoy both.

Both have their advantages and disadvantages.

  • the only advantages you get out of preferring console is being able to have more comfort on a couch (which can be done with pc if you use your tv as a monitor) and the exclusives, everything else is just shitter on console

  • I have both, a PC and a PS4. The PC is my primary hardware, since I do a lot more with it than playing videogames. But a Playstation is absolutely essentiel to me, because of the amazing exclusives Sony sells every year. The Last of Us, Uncharted 4, The Last Guardian, Horizon Zero Dawn, the Quantic Dream Games and many more. Red Dead Redemption and the upcoming sequel are also a reason to have a console.

  • Well, to me personally, the exclusives alone are already worth a console.

  • PC has a wide selection of games and you can build your rig to have more power than any console. The advantage of a console is to get those sweet exclusives. For me, I don't really care what I play on as long as it works.

Just to add my opinion, i always game on a PC mainly because i enjoy customising it and i much prefer a keyboard and mouse over a controller. I do miss some of the good exclusives at times and have considered buying a console just for them but at the same time i feel it would be unused and collect dust as i would still use my PC more.

    Cost Including Games:
Retail PC < Console < Custom PC

    Triple A Game Selection:
Retail PC < Console < Custom PC

Every system has exclusives. PC obviously has WAY more than all the consoles combined. So that depends on which ones you want.

"Better" depends on your budget. Tighter budget, have to go with console. It's better than a cheaper PC. If you're willing to build and spend a grand(~800USD) on a GPU, it's really hard to compare to PC.

  • Cost of console is better, for those who dont have much. PC is for your person who has enough money to spend on a high quality PC.

I myself play console, both ps4 and xbox one. One nice thing is playing the exclusives, those are the pros of consoles. But PC obviously have a wider range of games available.

The console / pc wars just annoys me, by now people should realise we're all gamers. We enjoy the medium of video games!

You can now buy a console for £250 -1 game included, it's perfect for people with a small budget. But if you've got a few grand spare for your budget, go PC. But at the end of the day it's all personal preference.

You forgot one very important PS4 exclusive coming soon:

    enter image description here

Console because: I could go on

  • I like both.

  • Console for me, always been playstation since ps1, I personally prefer using a controller than mouse and keyboard. I love the exclusives that have been on console, such as the Uncharted series, and they're some of my favourite games. I know pc has better graphics, but for me the graphics are good enough on console for me to enjoy it and I feel graphics have hit a point where they will struggle to get significantly better.

  • They have different qualities, and the only reason I dont currently own a console is because i cant afford it.

PC is good due to 60 fps, mouse and keyboard for some games and also doubling as a do anything machine

Console is good due to its plug and play functionality, you know shit works for your machine when you own a console, I have pulled so many hairs trying to get simple shit to work on PC just because of some little shitty thing that doesnt work

  • PC, of course.

Console gaming obviously used to be better when PCs were only made for business and other stuff like that.

But nowadays, PC > Console gaming.

  • Well, the main reasons I got a PS4 over a PC were because all my friends have PS4 and also because of Uncharted 4 :P
