How to know who's gonna die on any telltale game

So this is something I noticed a long time ago and others probably have too, but I never mentioned it to anyone. It's a way to know who will definitely die in a telltale series.
This happens when you have to make one of the following choices:

  1. Choose between two (or more) people who you should save;
  2. Choose to save someone or let them die

Either way, the person you save will die later on, because telltale can't develop a story with two different characters alive for too long, it would be too difficult.
Of course this is obvious but I just find it interesting.

  • And Carley/Doug?

  • You can also tell, if a character is getting likeable, he/she will die eventually as well. Unless it is Clementine.

  • @Pipas & TeamKennyW00T, you both make good points.

    Nah, Bonnie died minutes after they drove off.

    They were doomed to crash the car by the Kenny Car Curse.

    WELL THAT WAS JUST A BIG FUCKKKING WASTE AND I HAVE NO IDEA WHY THAT WAS NECESSARY AND WHY WE NEEDED THE TRAUMA OK

    I played through the game knowing that Lee would get bitten in the end... (I never thought that I would play it so I was not careful about spoilers... X_X), but I must admit that the way he got bitten was kinda pathetic, but it also made sense at the same time.
    The only time Lee got bitten was the first time a walker snuck up on him, otherwise he would have destroyed that thing way before it could open it's mouth.
    But maybe it wasn't the walker that killed him, maybe it was the fear that Clementine was in danger that did.
    After all, "It's not the walkers that kill you, it's the fear that does."

    Plus it makes for an impactful ending that no one will soon forget and people would be talking about for a long time meaning that it gets more attention, which means more people may buy it. Cha-ching!

  • Man, same. I watched playthroughs before playing the game mahselves and already knew he was gonna die. Still hurt tho
