Hey, did Telltale streamline the engine? Seems like it so far.

I just played through the intro, which in some ways (technically speaking) was very similar to the first Ep's intro, and the framerate was silky smooth!

It stuttered a bit in Ep. 1. (Yes, I am using a dreaded integrated video card).

If the rest of the game runs this smooth, I'll be very impressed. Kudos to TTG!

It did seem to run a bit smoother. I only had to re-apply the graphics settings once in the whole game to stop it stuttering (
when I landed on Spinner Cay when the blockade started with all the cannon fire
    I think).

During Launch Of The Screaming Narwahl I had to re-apply the settings quite a few times. Everytime I walked past the Voodoo Lady's shack springs to mind.

Yeah, same here when Guybrush was approaching the blockade in the raft for the first time, he became flashing polygons, but at setting 3 non full screen, I had no other problems. Of course when trying to follow up the monkey island series, it's not okay. The game engine and development techniques need to be looked at if this keeps happening.

Try changing the settings to minimum before complaining & full screen will run smoother than windowed.

I have a dog of a computer, that's the only reason mine stutters on occasion & like I said, just going into the settings & re-applying stops that. I certainly haven't seen flashing polys though. You computer must be crap.

The game ran flawlessly smooth all the way through for me all on setting 9 graphics. I was quite pleased, because in Wallace and Gromit I have to drop it to level 5 and reduce the resolution or it fatally crashed every 10 minutes or so.

    But Monkey Island works great!

I also noticed a smoother running Engine this time around, I used the exact same settings as in Chapter 1 and this one didn't even stutter once!!

Now let's hope they can do the same for the Wii versions, that would make them a little more bearable in my mind (yes, I have both Wii and PC versions, just out of curiousity)

I complained some on how the was in the first chapter of the game, I most say though that the game is a lot smoother and runs a lot better now. Good job telltale!

I hear the Wii port of Ep1 sucked (from a technical perspective), but they tried really hard to optimise so it ran better. Perhaps all that work on the engine has paid off for the PC release too.
