I think I broke the game(Spoiler alert)

So I defeated the Pirates who are infected with Pox, I got the ball from the Mer-leader. Elaine left and I decided to go back to the ship. I am stuck, dont know what to do.

So I took the raft back to the Jungle and got a second fake Turtle without melting the pyrite Parrot. I went back to the island with the rubber tree and its still there.

I'm going to try and figure out what I did wrong but I thought people might like to know of this bug.

I figured it out. I have to say certain puzzles are impossible for me, not do to difficulty. For example,
I never saw the pail at all, no character even eluded to there being a pail any where, I eventually said I know I have to melt the Pyrite Parrot in the grill, with the Merking/queens hottub nob, and pour it into the broken stand for the turtle.
I knew every move except for the very first one, which blocked off the entire path for me.

I have to say that not seeing a interactive object is one of the things that makes this game harder for me. I dont know if this is something Hardcore adventure games find enjoyable but I found it enjoyable when
I figured out that the tree that bounced the coconut back at my head would work perfectly as a mast after my second try against the Pox infected Captain."

Glad you figured it out! Luckily I
    saw the bucket
straight way and thought, well... I'll need that at some point!

    I didn't realise about
the rubber tree until I went back to the island and those pirates were there looking for their treasure.
Until then I assumed I needed
one of the logs lying on the ground near the forest
. I was happy to see
    rubber trees
being used in the game again!

    the
    bucket
was a nod to MI2 where you had to fight with a pirate for a long time until he gave you "his"
    bucket
, so it' was an instantly attractive object for me. also it goes back to the rule of adventure gaming: "pick up everything that is not nailed down."

And if it is nailed down, take the nails as well! (Curse of Monkey Island used this idea).

    LOL! When I saw the
    bucket
, I instantly thought of the
    bucket of mud
from the second game :D. And yeah... I always learned with mystery/puzzle games is to click everything in sight.
