Which old characters would you like to see pop up in the next chapters?

I for one would love to see Largo back again!

I doubt we will see any of the old characters, except for Murray who's already confirmed.
Also, the Men Of Low Moral Fiber are not in your poll, and I would have voted for those.

Guess no one ever thought that we might even get to see Stan in the 3rd chapter. Stan does appear in strange places.

    Well,
    stuck inside a giant manatee
seems like the perfect place for the return of characters we havent seen in loooonnng time, like Men of Low Moral Fiber, Largo or Kate Capzise.

Isn't it sort of... completely certain that LGL is coming back? What with that little whistling hint...

I DON'T want to see Timmy!
And Largo would be nice... (April Fool's proves he's quite popular, whistling hint). And he was last seen in a collapsing fortress in the middle of the ocean.

    LarGo Lagrande?

I don't think that is a hint at all.
It's very possible that there was just a subtitle "*whistles*" and they told Dominic to whistle whatever he wants. And he chose the Largo theme.

Oh and, if that whistle is a hint to Largo coming back, then the stuffed Narwhal in the shack is a hint at the Barbers.

I meant LLG. And I wouldn't say the mechanical song was a hint. Maybe it's optimism, but the whistling did just come across as very hinty to me. What with the line "I wonder why that's stuck in my head..."

They would never ask Dominic to just whistle "anything". But I was so hopefull to see Largo again after he did, and so dissapointed when I saw the credits rolling without having seen him.

I voted for Stan but I kind of want to see Wally again!

I didn't put Stan and Wally in the poll because I was kind of certain they would be in it already. Hope I'm not wrong.

Wouldn't it be awesome if they recreated the April Fool's Largo scene in a future Tales episode? Turns out after all these years that the MI5 hoax wasn't actually a hoax.. and even Dominic didn't know it, lol ;)

I really hope Stan opened a shop in the [place you are in now].
It would fit quite nice :D

And what would he be selling in that shop? Stan's Previously Digested Food Products?

Anyway, I'd love to see Stan again. We always makes me laugh.

    After
Morgan LeFlay is a returning character - No wait, she's not
I don't think we can trust Telltale on hints in game.

De Singe has taken over Largo's role anyway - secondary villain to LeChuck.

I hope he's\becomes the main villian...

If the big shocker at the end is that
de Singe is the pirate God
    and LeChuck
STAYS HUMAN at the end AND good
I'd love that, and I loved the wicked evil LeChuck from MI2.

Yes, but after LCR he kind of sucked. Remember a thread on World of MI long time ago when people wanted new villian - more intelligent, skinny, pale, insane. This thread was first thing that came into my mind when I first saw De Singe. Might look for it if you want to...

I like the new characters that Telltale made already. But between Stan (probably he would make an appearance sometime...I mean there was no MI game without him...) and Murray coming back I doubt we're gonna see many other familiar faces... That would be too..rehashy.

Why are so many people voting for a character already confirmed to be returning?
  • edited August 2009
Because we want him and we want him now.
And the place where we will start chapter 3 might be a great place for a demonic skull.

De Singe is a great new main villian and puts Ozzie Mandrill to shame

Noo... LeChuck has the right charisma for a villain in a pirate game! De Singe is a great secondary villain but as a main villain he would be terrible. Besides, LeChuck in EMI was only an henchman (terrible, terrible). LeChuck should be main villain, but be treated the way he deserves.

Besides, would it be a MI game without Guybrush Threepwood? Hardly. So imo it wouldn't be a MI game without LeChuck as main villain...

This is not "confirmed", they said it would be likely if the fans would want it

I hope Largo will come back. At least his tune is hummed by Guybrush in Ep. 2 :D

Actually, it IS 100% confirmed, both by Denny Delk and Telltale themselves.

    ****

No love for the Men of Low Moral Fiber AGAIN? I loved Largo, but if he comes back he should be the sidekick of the villain again, only so we can finally see him get a well deserved hopefully gory end. That would only work in, possibly, Monkey Island 6.

    I want Wally too.
They have history trapped by Lechuck

I'd love to see Largo back
He was such a great character

And Stan better be in the Manatee

But how many times can we fight the same character? It was fun in SoMI as it was first LeChuck's appearance. It was even more fun in LCR as LeChuck was more twisted, demonic beeing. It was good in CoMI, as whole plot based on LeChuck and explaining final of LCR (but whole LeChuck-Elaine thing was a step backwards). It wasn't fun in EfMI, as they wanted to improve the formula and failed (LeChuck seemed forced into the game and he lacked most of his character).
Looks like whole Guybrush vs. LeChuck finale formula is overused and I'd like them to come up with something fresh.

Stan, Wally, Murray and LGL are probably the most likely to return, but how about the Cannibal-turned-Vegetarian Natives?
    Or the Barbershop Trio?
Hearing "A pirate I was meant to be" live again would be really nice...
(don't get me wrong, the little reference in DeCavas Manatee was hilarious).

Personally, I'd love for King André and Scruff to come back, just for a brief moment. Loved their poker scene in CMI.
