Comments
You've seen a shit-ton of movies there, I'm not even close.
January: Assassin's Creed - 7.3/10 - I know, it didn't come out in 2017 in most places, but in Sweden it came the 11th January, and I went to the premiere of course. Very good for being a game-movie. Usually they are pretty bad (See Far Cry for example), but this one was surprisingly good, all things considering. Well-known actors as well.
February: Lego Batman: The Movie - 7.6/10 - I sat alone on the cinemas and enjoyed this movie a lot. until the last 10-15 minutes, when an old hag and a screaming child enters and completely destroys the experience. I thought it was hilarious, I saw it in Swedish, so the movie jokes and references, just like the Lego Movie was a little strange, which almost made it more fun, because they tried so hard to make references good that it was hilarious to hear them.
March: Logan - 9.3/10 - What a fucking movie, how amazing wasn't this movie, aye? Incredible send-off to beloved characters, and Hugh Jackman and Patrick Stewart totally deserves Oscar rewards, both of 'em. Dafne Keen was also amazing. What a great child actor. This is what The Last of Us movie should be, and hopefully will be, with Hugh as Joel, because he makes a damn fine Joel. Everything was absolutely fantastic!
April: Guardians of the Galaxy Volume 2 - 8.6/10 - I seem to be one of few that prefer this one to the first one. I love everything about it. The jokes, the story, the twists, the pay-off, the emotion. Why my rating is 8.6 is that I will admit that at some times, the jokes felt a bit forced, and the story was a bit forced at times as well. That doesn't mean that I don't love it though, I still do. Kurt Russell and Chris Pratt had really good chemistry between each other, and my boi Drax was so fucking hilarious in this movie. As usual Mr. Rooker delivers perfectly, he was amazing in this movie. Also loved that Chibs from Sons of Anarchy in it as well.
May: Pirates of the Caribbean: Dead men tell no tales/ Salazar's Revenge - 8.7/10 - I liked this movie a lot, Johnny Depp is one of my favourite actors and one of my favourite persons in the whole world. He's such a cool guy, and his anxiety makes him really cute in interviews. I can really see myself in him (anxiety part, not the actor part). The story was pretty simple, but it worked, just like other Pirates movies. They brought back fan-favourites that they ditched (or killed (see after-credits scene)) after the third movie. What really made this movie was the after-credits though. It hinted at something that I CANNOT wait to see. I ain't spoiling anything now, but go and see the after-credits if you missed them, immediately. Geoffrey Rush really stole the show in this one, which he usually does, he And Johnny really are a perfect team-up. Javier Bardem was a good villain as well. The new Elizabeth Swann and Will Turner was enjoyable, I can't wait to see what they got in store for us in the next Pirates movies (which just have to happen).
June: Wonder Woman - cannot rate yet - I will go and see it next week, and then I will update this!
I don't want to talk about all the movies I've seen this year, maybe later (not even close as much as you've seen lol), but so far my top 3 is:
