Monkey Island DVD Activation?

Does the DVDs with all the episodes of Monkey Island require an activation code? I know it's not out yet, but I'm just concerned I'd run out of # of times you can use it (Yes I know it said the number of times you can do it is real high but I like to be prepared for worst case if I could) I've lost track how many times I've played MI1 and I've had that for almost 20 years. Thanks

    As far as I know, if Monkey Island's DVD is similar to SBCG4AP's, then there's no activation code at all, the game just checks if the original disk is inside the DVD unit.

    The number of times you can install limit is only for the download versions. The discs use SecuROM disc based protection that is completely separate from the downloads. The only hoop you have to jump through is actually having the disc in the drive when you play.

    Assuming they stick to that protection scheme (I do hope so, I've had no problems with it whatsoever).
