the rubber chicken bet

ok, we all know we're going to find the rubber chicken in one of the remaining episodes (actually I was insistently trying to find it at vodoo lady's place on Ep.1, with no luck...) or maybe not...take your bet and we'll see who was right!

Are you talking about Murray?? Because if so, he has already been confirmed by Telltale.

I say we will see a rubber chicken.

And, I'd go as far as to guess that this chicken will be in Chapter 3.

(I hope you ARE talking about the rubber chicken, the "guy" in your post makes me unsure...)

Ooh! Ok, sorry, my bad :D Well... you did say "guy" instead of "thing" hehe

My bet's on Chapter 5 if any.

My bet goes to chp4! I also bet the rubber chicken is the very thing he uses to avoid execution! Don't ask me how...

you're totally right, I started calling everything "guy" where I studied english (Indiana University) cause my professors were calling every single thing (animated or not animated) "guy" but I guess it's not totally correct...
    fixed now ;)

there has to be a rubber-chicken-with-a-pulley-in-the-middle! it's a signature ongoing joke of the series! it's mentioned at least once in every game! i also hope they'll bring murray back. he was funny...

    The chicken is a lie!

The rubber chicken with the pulley in the middle is
    the Pirate God
. See if I'm not right, because I'm usually not.

Was the rubber chicken mentioned or referenced at all in MI2? I've been re-playing it on and off a few weeks now, yet I can't remember anything about a rubber chicken with a pulley in the middle. Also, I think the first game is the only one where you can actually use the item?

I think Tales has made so many references to past games so far, it would feel like something's missing if the Rubber Chicken didn't appear anywhere.
However, it must be a non-puzzle object. If it's actually part of solving a puzzle, especially if it is used the same way as in MI1, then newcomers will have a severe disadvantage.

Not necessarily! Remember how you got up to the mast during the fight with Morgan? ;) It's quite similar.

    My bet's on chapter 4.

Agreed :D Maybe he pulls the chicken out, puts the pulley on a cable/rope and slips away.

Except that in that fight you don't use a rubber chicken, but a
    hook
    .

Damn, they missed an opportunity there! The hook is cool though.

They already put a reference in episode 1, when Guybrush tells the Marquise that he's going to break the ancient door.. I don't think the chicken will appear in Tales.. We have the parrot, instead!

Well yes, but the way you use it and the way the chicken was used in the old game is the exact same principle, that's what I meant by "It's quite similar."
