  • Game of Thrones does too, so I'm hoping we get a Season two.

Now I've just realised. They are making sequels for the games that have HUGE fanbases. Both Batman and Minecraft have huge fanbases which means money.

  • They never released a DLC for Season Two...

I wasn't expecting any continuation, because the first season wasn't exactly received well by the community everyone hated season two of walking dead but that didn't stop them from releasing a DLC and a third season

But I actually want Jurassic Park Season 2 :c

just gonna leave this here EDIT: to further my thoughts on this i sure am glad telltale saw all the fan complaints and criticisms of thei

  • ... Oh... Cool... Yay...

I'm guessing this is the thing the "mature fans" are going to be happy about. The thing we've been asking for for a looong time?

Okay, I was fine with Minecraft: Story Mode Season 2, actually, I was pretty happy about it. But this? I don't know... It's like Telltale is trying to annoy us by giving us sequels to games no one wants a sequel for.

  • You never know what could happen within this week. I honestly am doubting that Batman is the only announcement.

    If it's either:

    • Game of Thrones: Season Two
    • The Wolf Among Us: Season Two
    • Tales From The Borderlands: Season Two

    Then I am hyped.

God damn it. Why do I always get hyped for Telltale games and then somewhat enjoy them but somewhat disappointed by the wasted potential and then rant/rave on the forum about what was good or bad. It's a never ending cycle...I'm still on the lookout tho

EDIT: I'm crying, it's Batman why wtf (I mean Batman was okay but is it sequel worthy)

  • I didn't hate Season 2, I loved it.

I wasn't expecting any continuation, because the first season wasn't exactly received well by the community everyone hated season two of walking dead but that didn't stop them from releasing a DLC and a third season

  • This is my top of game series which I'd like to see a new season come up as soon as possible: 1. TWD; 2. TFTB; 3. GOT; 4. TWAU 5. BATMAN

Seeing the place where they are going to make the announcement the 2 series that'd make sense to announce there would be Batman and TWAU.

Also, I'm inclined to think there's more than 1 announcement, even if that might sound silly.

Let me be that dreamer who believes that the game from that link is a mini-series for the Batmam series, and that there will be a second title announced.

And let me be a dreamer again and say that the second title is TWAU. They did say that it is something that people have been asking for a long time, right? What title other than TWAU and TFTB has been asked most for the longest time? It wouldn't make sense to announce other title than TWAU there and make use of "the title people have been asking for a long time" as a tease. Not only that, but they also said that the next Borderlands game will NOT be a Telltale one, but a Gearbox one, in a Twitter post.

Again, I repeat: only TWAU would make sense to be announced at that time and place, and Batman doesn't totally fit the "asked for a long time" tease.

  • me saying everyone hated season two was a very exaggerated statement, obviously. i'm well aware people love it and i'm happy they did, but a majority of players did not.

    I didn't hate Season 2, I loved it.

  • Agreed but actually they are already working on two titles (GOTG, MCSM s2) and if they announce two more games I'm really afraid that too much work could affect their quality (especially if they announced TWAU would prefer that they take their time).

The series coming out is Batman: The Enemy Within.

  • No one? That is such a vague statement. I am pretty sure many outside this forum does.

Like me, I thought TT's Batman had a great mix of mature themes and lightheartedness.

  • Sorry, that's not what I meant. I know a lot of people wanted it, I liked the game as well (haven't finished it yet). I just meant "It seems like Telltale is trying to annoy us by making sequels to all their games but the ones fans have been asking for for years."

“[…]Something that core fans have been waiting for a LONG TIME!”
-announces the sequel of Batman that came out less that one year ago and totally ignores Game of Thrones and freaking The Wolf Among Us-

This better not be the only game they will announce.

  • Can't I read what's inside the link? I mean like, alone?

  • They did say they can work on maximum 4 series simultaneously, right?

I personally think there will be more than one announcement at comic con, besides Batman i'm hoping it will be Game of Thrones related as i have been looking forward to news for a while.

  • Yet it still has overwhelmingly positive rating on Steam. I mean, I didn't really like Season 2 either, but saying that everyone (or a majority of players) hated it is a bold statement. Plus you need to take into account how well it sold as well, which is not something Batman can boast about.

  • Honestely i don't know but If they said that...I still think it's too much work

  • Their team is way bigger today than how it was a while back. It is prolly possible, but they should stop rushing things and launch stuff only when they're ready. (see TWD:ANF and Batman's original technical issues)

  • I don't think this will be a "Season 2", as the title don't mention it. I bet it will be a mini-series add-on.

  • ANF wasnt named season 3 but was still season 3.

  • That's a really unfair statement to make. Batman is a great game and many people loved it and want a season 2.

Honestly it seems people here will just rant and complain when they don't get exactly what they want.

  • Yet it still has overwhelmingly positive rating on Steam.

You'll notice that "critics" give trash games and movies really high ratings often. Now of course Season Two works very well on a technical and graphical level and sold very well, but the story and gameplay are pretty bad.
