7 Days to Die: Access to updated content with saved game

Hi All,

I've been playing 7 Days to Die since 1.13 and have put in a lot of hours. There have been a couple of updates but I'm not able to access the new recipes and items. Is there a way to access these with my current game or do I have start completely over? Hopefully I'm just missing something.
