The MBTI personality types of Telltale characters and fans?
Hi all!
Today I thought it'd be interesting to get your guesses on the personality types of characters across all of Telltale's games and let you guys share your own type if you want. Maybe even discuss how you feel your type has affected your play style in TT games if you believe it has.
If you don't know what the Myers-Briggs Type Indicator is you can learn the basics here but the general gist is that according to MBTI our personalities are divided into 4 sliding scales of preferences: Extraversion vs Introversion; Sensing vs Intuition; Thinking vs Feeling and Judging vs Perceiving. The link can help explain what the preferences means as well as a test to help you figure out your own. There are many other tests you can find for free if you search "MBTI". There are 16 different personalities in total.
Now I know there's also quite a number of objections to the validity of MBTI so if you have any please feel free to voice them

The thing to remember about this test is that there is a certain amount of subjectivity that you put into yourself. People lie to themselves.
Yeah, this test works only when you're ready to answer honestly even if you don't like the answer, and not how you'd like to be. Like I used to think that oh yeah I totally like being around other people, when in reality social things just wear me out very quickly. I think it's quite accurate and everyone fits one of these types, but people have to keep in mind that others with the same personality type can be very different people.
These descriptions exist as they are in a perfect world with no mental illness, trauma, other baggage etc.. so they probably aren't 100%. I'm an INFJ myself. Right now I'm too tired to get into TT characters but I might get back to this. It's definitely interesting even if you think it's just for fun and not really valid.
I agree with what others have said, it takes a good sense of self awareness to test yourself accurately. Remember to be as honest with yourself as you can if you are interested in testing yourself. Also keep in mind that the preferences are not black and white. It's not uncommon to be in the middle of the two extremes.
Anyways here are some of the types for S1 of TWD. I'm not an expert at this so feel free to correct me
S1 Clementine: INFP, I don't know if S2 Clementine has a set personality type since her dialogue is mostly chosen by the player, Unplayable ANF Clem might be ISTP.
Kenny: ESTP
Larry: ESTJ
Ben: ISFP
Duck: ENFP
Doug: INTP
