Blank screen glitch--christmas lights glitch 2

When on the Isle of Ewe, I tried leaving to another island and tried skipping the boat animation by hitting the right click button. Unfortunately it just cancels the action and takes you back to where you came from. In this case however, I was put onto a black screen. Guybrush was there, and I could walk him around (I could see the ring/arrow when you use the mouse to walk), but there's nothing to interact with. He can't talk, I couldn't open the inventory or go to the main menu, but the game didn't lock up. Don't know if anyone else has experienced this or not.

Also, there weren't any christmas lights, so I guess you could just say it was a blackout.

    It happened to me too, once.. I had to load the last saved game...
