Is Telltale allowed to sell MI merchandise?

Maybe one of the helpful Telltale forum members can help me with this one :) I was wondering if the licence to produce a new MI series Telltale acquired from LucasArts extends to letting them sell MI merchandise as well? If so, would it only count for ToMI associated merchandise like soundtracks and posters or would it extend to other entries in the series, such as a CoMI vintage Murray-the-evil-demonic-skull talking alarm clock? (A man can dream :D)

(And also, just out of curiosity, what about Wallace & Gromit merch?)

Any information to help clear up my quandary would be appreciated. Thank you for your time :)

I would imagine they only have rights to the game and if they wanted to make/sell merchandise they would have to approach LucasArts.

Correct. Merchandise is something we currently need to discuss with LucasArts. We're of course working on some proposals and nebulous ideas, but we'll see! No promises, though (besides the games themselves, obviously :) ).

The alarm clock could even be made to keep track of the date. That way, Murray could be especially evil on Monday mornings.

Would anyone want a toy rubber chicken with a pulley in the middle (can't believe no one's suggested it yet)? Or a gigantic q-tip? Or how about a game. Instead of rockem sockem robots, insult fighting pirates. How about a Junior Ultra Commando Assault Vehicle? Or a Big Whoop Amusment Park playset (might also work as a spin off game - Big Whoop Tycoon)?

I'd buy a rubber-chicken-with-a-pulley-in-the-middle keychain. It would have to be designed in such a way that it wasn't uncomfortable in a pocket and was durable enough to last, but I'd love that. Or a three-headed monkey keychain.

I would hate to have my hopes lifted up just to have them dashed.

Also, the suggestions in this thread are really helping in lowering my expectations. I need them nice and low to avoid being let down.

I'm cynical now, so I'll either be proven right or I'll be pleasantly surprised.
