Want to be a writer for Telltale, but what should I submit?
I'm definitely interested in maybe writing for Telltale, and when I checked their job offering, they apparently said that you need to submit two samples of your own writing, presumably to see how good you are at creating narratives with an emphasis on dialogue.
My question however is what kind of writing should I submit? They don't exactly specify it, but my line of logic says that scripts for either plays, movies, or TV shows are an obvious suggestion. But seeing as how the emphasis is supposed to be on narrative structure and effective dialogue, then wouldn't short stories or novels also work?
What do you guys think?

I'm not Telltale staff - just a community volunteer moderator who is a fellow fan - but I would recommend just submitting a normal script format that does not account for player choices. I'd just try and focus on conveying writing skill.
Okay, but should the script actually be for an official project (reminder, I currently don't have any professional experience in the game industry), or could it just be a script idea I wrote in my own time that I think would be worthy of a video game or movie?
I think as long as you submit something that shows a basic understanding of narrative structure and character development, then that should be good enough. Although, your lack of experience in a professional setting might hurt your chances a little bit.
Here's a detailed list of requirements, responsibilities and duties.
