The official Anemone reluctant, confused, shamefull appreciation thread

Van Winslow and Morgan have threads, I think Anemone deserves one. Did anyone else find him/her (please her) kind of charming? I mean like... I totally didn't... I was just wondering if anyone else did... I didn't or anything...

But I kinda did.

I can unabashedly say I love Anemone and the effect s/he has on Guybrush! Plus s/he has the best accent I can't identify I have ever heard. (Seriously, is it Cuban or something? Malay? French Guianan?)

I've started some kinda monster here. appreciation threads everywhere, next there will be ones for all kinds of minor characters. ;)

Seriously though, I thought that Alemonade was a great character, and her way of turning guybrush around was amazing.

Ah, you're just still upset that s/he said s/he hated you. I do love the fact, extrapolating from the book titles, that this civilization has been screwing with pirates for years, so much so that they can't help making double entendres. Plus, many fish species in real life switch genders as they age, so the Vacaylians might have some sort of basis in real life.

Also, I was instantly reminded of this guy:

d6f755c9e35365a4557aa4e0098339e1,5,1.jpg when I saw Anenopoly for the first time. Even before the jokes about his/her gender. Coincidence?

Are you saying that I shouldn't start the "the guy you punched in the face on Flotsam" appreciation thread?

    I'm more for a that-guy-on-melee-island-in-smi-that-randomly-wanders-around-in-the-city appreciation thread.
Oh and, I also want that guy to come back in Tales.

Which one? This one or the other one?

Don't worry, it's perfectly OK to admit that you think Anemone is awesome ;)
Definitely one of the best new characters in a while. I hope s/he doesn't just turn out to be a really minor one-chapter-only character (as this seems likely), because s/he could turn out to be as popular a side-character as Murray himself.

    So yeah, Alemonade is excellent.

As far as I was able to read in the credits, the name of the actress playing Anemone is Sirenetta... which is a little mermaid in Italian. That would be nice!

I will use this moment to plead my love for Anemone. Rarely have I had a video game character that charmed me in the same way (s)he has.

I think Anemone and Tetra are among my favourite Monkey Island characters, up there with Wally and Murray.
