Another glitch - Monkey Island, ch 2

At Roe Island, I found the piece of paper and tried to read it by combining the Eye of the Manatee and the Fish Eye. Putting them in the item slots and pressing the + sign doesn't do anything, and Guybrush makes a comment about not being able to read the paper. Putting them in the item slots and typing C does combine them properly.

    Well that's certainly weird. Do you happen to have a save file of this that you could send in?
