Bit of a ramble about the discrepancy of the picks for the last outcome of S2 E1

Not sure if this should be listed as spoiler containing, so forgive me if it is.

First off, I understand everyone has their ideal Batman. especially depending on what they grew up on (I.E. Only the miller DKR/Keaton movies/All-star etc) and that since there's multiple save files it makes doin Alternate scenarios plausible. Hell, I have 1 carry over where Harvey is scarred and 1 where he isn't along with subtle dialogue changes that don't really affect anything but stay true to the way I play him in the first save. What really kind of astounded me was the huge discrepancy in the either sacrificing Iman's hearing or killing agents. Both saves I chose Iman's hearing because I grew up on the first Keaton movie to a small part and hugely on B:TAS where he was portrayed as just a broken empathetic lost soul trying his best to reach out and help other broken souls; always kind, never cruel due to growing up on values presented through the likes of either Zorro/Gray Ghost. Anyway, I replayed my second save to do minor changes *like tellin John the card was inappropriate yet keeping it while also taking a selfie with him just to see how it effects it. But one thing I kept the same because to me it's who Batman is fundamentally down at his core, someone who would rather endure potential death than allow a innocent to die. Anyway, with Iman now deaf and the last bit of gameplay done I go through the choices only to see that I was in the minority at 20.9 percent.

Now, I play on PS4 so this is more than likely only showing results of other console players. But at the same time, when I cleared it two times before the percentages were much closer with sacrificing Iman being in the higher picked. But at the same time I am dumbfounded, as said he grew up with the likes of Zorro/Gray Ghost building his strong moral center, so if he's a hero how is it heroic to let 2 agents die to save one's hearing? To me it just comes off as making Batman be selfish by rather having others endure pain or die rather than himself, which is in no way a trait of a hero. I'm not calling out people or saying they're all wrong. but at the same time we're playing a superhero game so in what way is it alright to let others die so you don't suffer? Sorry for the rambling, just wanna hear everyone else's thoughts.

Oh, also, was in the minority to let Alfred start grieving. I mean, it's Alfred, big lovable caring Alfred, who may or may not be a former MI6 person depending on continuity, WHY would anyone want to subject him to being vengeful? Guy's a moral/level headed compass who can have a sassy wit. Bruce takes all the baggage so Alfred remains as he is. ......sorry, had to add that

It was a lose lose situation and we didnt really know she would go deaf vs. have her brain internally rupture until after the fact. And a lot of people just refused to have Batman comply with Riddler's twisted and horribly personal game.

Alfred becoming vengeful is perfectly rational if you consider that his good friend/a father of 3 was blown to pieces while trying to help Bruce and Gotham as a whole. It isn't about Alfred grieving in a healthy way as long as the killers were still at large. Alfred's vengeance will be a huge motivator for him to go after the Pact this season.
