A pirate I was meant to be... (spoilers)

In ToMI: Ch. 2, when Guybrush puts the locket in the hole of the manatee in De Cava's hut we hear a snippet of the MI3 song "A pirate I was meant to be..."

I was thinking, since this song was sung by McMutton, VanHelgen and Cutthroat Bill, could it be that it's a hint to Ch. 3 where they might be stranded inside the giant manatee that also swallowed Guybrush at the end of Ch. 2?

What's with you guys, every reference from old MI games that shows up, you use as a HINT for future characters.

Really now, just enjoy the reference and let it be.

i agree i don't think they will show up...But if they did it would be cool like maybe they got swallowed up after they mutinied against Guybrush and were on there way back to Plunder Island from Blood Island :)

I don't think that Haggis and the others mutinied, because
Guybrush was abducted by LeChuck's men
, plus the three are at the wedding celebrations later, and when Guybrush and Elaine come back, it's already MI4.

Anyway I find it extremely unlikely that they show up anywhere in Tales.

no... the song is just a fun refference to a previous game... simple as that.

all the manatee is for is
as part of a puzzle in chapter 2, and a hint to the location of LA ESPONGA GRANDE... you can even see the map of the island the sponge is on drawn on his belly where you put the locket, and the route map below the plaque

They did like whale-watching though. Maybe they got swallowed by the manatee whilst whale-watching.

Those three being in the game is completely unnecessary. It would only be fan service and would be cheap and add nothing to the story. Who wants old faces littered all over the place when new characters (Winslow, Morgan, De Singe, ect) have shown to be even better? Murray is really all you need though I'm worried about his role. I hope it only adds to the story rather than seem forced and just put in the game for the sake of being there for the fans. Telltale will do the right thing though I'm sure.
