Will Avesta be deaf forever? Like is it permanent hearing loss or......... So I can change my choice so y know she's deaf..

In the ama they said Avesta will overcome the trauma from episode 1, however she will do that remains to be seen
Yeah it's why I asked since I don't really like her.
overcoming her trauma doesn't necessarily mean that her hearing will come back. It could just mean psychologically she overcomes it and learns to live with it.
It would be pretty cool to see a Telltale character interact with others using sign language. How TTG would go about interpreting that for the player, I don't know.
Maybe subtitles?
Or maybe Bruce might provide her with some hearing aids made by his company. But I'm hoping it's sign language or something like that.
I always assumed and still do assume that they'd "skip" this choice by going with hearing aids if she's deaf.

Probably, but maybe not the same ones as the small centered text for other characters. It'd really need to be a bit bigger so as to ensure you don't miss anything.
The codex entry sadly leads me to believe she is deaf for good.
I'm glad I decided to save her. Her display in that cage was quite frankly humbling, dignified and brave.
I just couldn't let her die. It might not be the most Batman decision I've made (I believe he would try to save absolutely everyone) but I stand by it. I hate sacrificing worthy characters.
Would be disappointing if she isn't deaf. Have some impact on the choices. Also Riddler said she'd probably die after 3 full blasts. She got pretty much 2 and a half. Come on now.
