Is John Doe a product of Thomas Wayne?

Not sure if this has been mtnioned before but is it possible? John rseems to know or recall Thomas. Saying Bruce and the Pact remind him of Thomas and when you get angry he mentions that he's using his "Stern" father voice. Not to mention he acts abnormally and has outbursts. For example in the church if you reject him or when you leave Harley behind he builds up tension and not exactly in a normal way. First he reaches out then starts to twitch out angrily. So is he a failed test perhaps? His records are also hidden just like the other patients like Esther Cobblepot...hmmm.

John does seem to have a strange fascination with Thomas, going back as far as his introduction in s1e4. I always thought John simply respected Thomas' methods, but I wouldn't be surprised if John was a product of Thomas' cruelty and is playing a long-con against the man's son.

  • But isn't John supposed to be around Bruce's age? I know that Joker in the comics is mostly around 10-15 years older but John Doe here seems about Bruce's age. Maybe he was a child and Thomas tested him?

  • Child? Lol no. I seriously doubt they were testing on children. I don't think Thomas is that heartless.

  • After everything has been changed about Thomas I will now expect the most sadistic things and they won't be a surprise. But yeah I don't think so either. I still think he just exists. One bad day and everything
