  • It's nice to see that Telltale is having an impact on DC Comics :)

  • This is cool but will this be considered canon to Batman The TellTale Series? What happens if I don't pick up the comics will I be lost in later seasons? I mean of course Batman is a very popular character and one of TellTale's best selling games. Although I want to continue playing more seasons of Batman and I hope that DC Comics releases this comic as a physical comic book.

  • Nah, I doubt it. This comic is said to fill in the gap between Season 1 and 2, which I believe is a year in between stories. So this comic should take place within that year. I'd read it anyway, just in case they make a Season 3 and decide to throw in a little easter egg from the comic.

  • It's canon and takes place between season 1 and 2. I really doubt this'll be important in terms of how the Enemy Within's story will go, but they might reference it as an easter egg or something.

  • I'm excited. I really like the Batman universe that Telltale created, and I'm really interested to see where DC takes their adaptation of it.

  • I would read it to support TellTale because I've enjoyed all the games they created from Walking Dead, Game of Thrones, Minecraft Story Mode, Tales from the Borderlands, Batman, The Wolf Among Us and Guardians of The Galaxy! I mean if it takes place between Seasons 1 and 2 will it show some new characters I hope so I want to see new characters in this universe. Also what does this say about the Batman Series TellTale's created? Does it mean it is selling extremely well?! I hope so because that would be awesome I would love to see this series continue for many years which it can since this is Batman which is one of DC's best comic book character.

  • Ooh, this sounds awesome. DC seems to be very supportive of what Telltale has done with one of their most famous heroes, I'm looking forward to it.

  • Can't wait to read it! I wonder if they'll use the new, Season 2 Batsuit or the old one.

  • Definitely sounds like one not to miss. TellTale's weaved a fantastic spin on the Bat-Verse, and one that deserves to be expanded upon.

  • Sin's of the father is a promising title!

  • Ooh, I'm not one who usually reads comics, but this I would love to get!
    The synopsis sounds super intriguing:

Based on the acclaimed video game series from Telltale Games, this new digital-first comic tells the story of events between the first and second seasons. Someone is killing people associated with Arkham Asylum during the time Thomas Wayne was forcibly committing people there. Suspicion falls on the families suing Bruce Wayne to pay for the harm caused by his father. Batman has other ideas, but his investigation leads to him becoming the target of a deadly assassin.

    This other quote is interesting:

The events of Sins of the Father will be felt in the current series, Batman: The Enemy Within, that kicked off in August.

So, hopefully Telltale includes some sort of nod to that, or has already structured things in a way that links back to the comic.

  • Was I the only one who went 'Hell Yeah, Deacon Blackfire!' when I just read the title. Now it seems to be Thomas Wayne's sins, but I am still hyped.

  • Always nice to have the involvement on the part of the licensor. Great to see the Telltale Batman mythos expanding.

  • Anyone know when the physical version of the comic is released?

  • Batman: Sins of the Father is scheuled to debut digitally on February 12, with a print edition coming February 21 and running for six issues.

  • I am liking the cover so far I hope that this will answer some questions about Season 2 and Season 1 like who sent the criminal after Bruce Wayne/Batman and what was Catwoman's relationship to The Riddler.
