download error (ARM1054,12029)

I decided to try out the Culture Shock demo before paying for the full season and found although the download manager downloaded without issue, I received the following error on trying to run it:

Problem encountered with Internet connection. (ARM1054,12029)

Googling it did not reveal anything helpful. Is this linked to the proxy server issue mentioned in another thread? Will I have the same problem trying to download the full episode?

And not having received a response, I bit the bullet and ordered, but still received the same error.

    EDIT:
However I found this could be circumvented by deactivating my firewall (Norton Personal Firewall) while the download occurs. Not sure exactly what was stopping it, but hopefully this may help a few people.

I pre-ordered the season yesterday, and I now have the same problem.

    Hey there,

You shoudl be able to get around the download manager by getting the demo (which contains the unlockable full game) from gamespot or some other site:

    http://www.gamespot.com/pc/adventure/sammaxep1/index.html

Once you start it up, you can activate the game with your orderid and password from your existing order.

Sorry we didn't get back to you right away... today was a crazy day.

As Doug mentioned, downloading from a mirror site usually takes care of the problem.

I also wanted to add that sometimes a firewall or proxy can interfere with activation. If you get any errors about an internet connection when you try to activate the game, just click Activation Support, send the hardware fingerprint code that displays to us at support@telltalegames.com, and we'll send back a manual activation key.
