Does telltale think pinky swears are awkward.
Obliviously everyone chooses to pinky swear with john in fact it might be the most one side choice we ever saw on a telltale game and i am pretty sure 5.1% that it said didn't do it are mostly people playing twice to see both options. No one had a problem or seen any problem with it. It helps us get close to john and it in turn get's us inside the pact. But when you do it there is that scene with the woman looking at you weirdly and could not help but wonder does Telltale writers think making a pinky swear with a friend is an awkward thing that people might judge you for cause its not. not in the slightest. Maybe its consider more a kid friendly thing to do but its no more a thing then high fiving when looked upon some one so i have to wonder why telltale makes it seem like such a big weird thing you have to chose to do and has you looked at oddly if you do.

It was part of a joke. You don't usually see two grown men pinky swearing in a bar. The woman's look was for comedic effect, and succeeded in making people laugh. There's nothing wrong with it, it's just not a regular thing to see.
It's incredibly childish. So adults doing it is weird af.
Actually I didn't pinky swear in my main playthrough. I wanted to be honest as much as I can with John and I know how its going to be later, so I couldn't hurt him there.
Just like promise to mother in GotG, I didn't make a promise there also.
Yes I also didn't pinky swear for the same reason, I just knew that I might not be able to keep the promise.
