Would you actually let Harley slip through the cracks?

I know nobody wants to break John's heart, but would you really let Harley escape justice for his sake? I dont think my Bruce could sleep at night knowing that he let her go. Harley is violent and murderous and she knows exactly what she is doing, she has got to go down for everything she has done in the last 2 episodes alone.

  • Depends on how things play-out. My Batman did tell John as long as Harley doesn't hurt any innocent people he'll let her go. In S1 I played a compassionate Batman, and Bruce has grown closer to the Pact over time. He's seen the more genuine human sides they all possess. So yeah, depending on the situation I could see my Batman letting her go. Although she's already on his shitlist for what she did to Selina (I said Catwoman stole the laptop, but it was John/Batman/You). I guess everything really depends on what happens to Selina, and how things play out during the raid.

I don't see telltale giving you a choice on that one. Maybe if it was like the head off thing where you had to choose between which person to capture. That whole scenario might have been a foreshadowing of a greater choice.
But if they do give you a choice than my Bruce would arrest her no problem. He'd also go after John though.
    He's a heart-breaker he is.

  • Never. Batman pulls the "I lied" card more than Schwarzenegger.

    Yes.

  • Ultimately, I don't even think it's our choice. She will likely be taken under Waller's custody. Harley is bae, but if we are given the choice, I don't think I could let her go if she didn't give me a good reason that felt genuine.

  • It's batman I'd be extremely surprised if telltale gave you an option to let Harley go. For one, you know John's descent to becoming the Joker is going to be something to do with her. Only way he turns against Bruce is if Bruce goes after Harley. And it's inevitable that Harley will give Bruce/Batman no choice. She's a villain, its her story arc. But I could see them maybe giving you a choice to give her to Waller or even put her in Arkham/blackgate.

  • No. She is a psycopath.

  • You know actually I would. That's assuming Bane, Freeze and SANCTUS are taken care of and John remains on our side. We had a deal and he upheld his end of the bargain.

  • That depends on how everything goes, but it would be 100% because John asked. Can't say no to the man.

  • I wouldn't. She already gave me countless reasons to make sure that she's locked up and not even one good reason to let her go.

  • Ah so you'd rather help her treat her illness. Very noble.

    No. She is a psycopath.

  • Well, as my Batman said, that depends on her. And since I very much doubt she suddenly becomes a saint, I'll most likely let her get locked up.

  • It's hard to say. I want to, I even promised I would but ultimately depends on the circumstances. Like if it's a choice like capture John or Harley. That's where it'd be complicated.

  • Definitely not, to be fair she is one of the most unpredictable of all the villains with John Doe, who I think soon will become the Joker.

That's what I think. Telltale have been foreshadowing that maybe something will happen when we infiltrate the Bodhi Spa and we won't be able to capture all of them so there's a choice between capturing Bane, Freeze and SANCTUS vs John & Harley.

They've been adding a rivalry between Bane vs Harley for 2 out of 3 episodes now, and I don't think it's just for drama. Also there's the scene where John asked Batman to let Harley go. And the fact that John has been our friend through the WHOLE season (depending on how you've played).

But then there's the menu screenshots for the episodes that tease that we're going to be fighting John, so I have no idea. They've also been laying the seeds that John has been playing us all along.

Maybe it all depends on how you've treated John throughout the course of the season, and you'll either get John & Harley help you or have them turn on you. I hope they don't go down the same road as Harvey and just have John turn into the Joker no matter what, but I think Telltale is smarter than that so I'm not really worried about that to be honest.

And yes I would let Harley go if it was for the greater good.

I just can't see a scenario where letting her go would be the greater good, unless it was a choice to capture her or someone equally dangerous. Harley is way too calculating and violent to let walk away scot free.

  • Pretty sure he will become Joker no matter what.

No she deserves to rot in a cell.

  • So, given the choice, who would everyone go after? If the only way to let Harley slip is instead to go after Bane or Freeze. Whose more dangerous out of the three? I think I'd go after Harley because I can hopefully still use Freeze and I'd also like a little payback on John for ratting out Tiffany. Plus I'm excited to see him as Joker. Bane's powerful and all but he did back down when Harley came around. Makes you think she's got to be worse.

  • Bane is the most dangerous. He is huge, superpowered, and he loves to kill. Harley is second dangerous because shes violent but also intelligent and maybe not beyond reason. Freeze is the least of my concerns because we already know exactly what makes him tic; his wife. Play your cards right with Freeze and he is more likely to be an ally. He doesn't want murder or revenge, he wants his wife back no matter what.

  • That's interesting, I always considered Freeze to be the most dangerous out of the bunch, based on his extreme ruthlessness and effectiveness - one touch and you're gone. Lucky for us he's been relatively chill so far.

  • I actually agree with you there. Freeze I think is by far more dangerous than both Harley and Bane, in my opinion. However there is the fact that you can use Nora to your advantage with him. Its like having leverage vs. Bane and Harley who you don't have any dirt on.

  • This, absolutely.

As far as what Bruce putting/helping put Harley in jail will do to John... it's like people blaming Selina and Bruce hooking up (or the way Selina used Harvey to get to Bruce) as the main catalyst for Harvey becoming TwoFace. Harvey was already showing signs of that even before he got injected with whatever drug the CoA were using. Harvey was going to become TwoFace no matter what. John, and that personality that is lurking a couple layers down, is going to eventually morph into the Joker sooner or later despite Bruce's best efforts. Plus which, Harley is as of an influence on John as Bruce is. John could struggle to contain that psycho side to be friends with Bruce or give into it (which is something he REALLY enjoys; is a part of what John finds appealing about Harley) and have a chance with Harley.

  • lol. Bruce is the Selina Kyle of season 1. He uses John to get into the pact and then goes for Harley to keep in good standing. John is Harvey, Harley is Bruce and Bruce is Selina. Awesome.

  • Not only would I let Harley go (As i mentioned above) I'd let John go too.

  • What is Selina in this mix? In my play through I am attempting to turn the table on Selina. Bruce has neither forgiven nor forgotten. He will put the overall mission and his role in it over her safety if he has to.

She's the cat that screws it up if you try and stay hidden from Harvey. Only less successful depending on your choice.

  • Especially so if Bruce and Harley do end up hooking up.
