Freeze's introduction tale might have been to big for this specific story.
So this story and its villain have been mostly great(Victor may be the one exception). And while its a bit more complex then what i am about to call it, when you strip it bare bones this story is at its simplest form Batman vs The Suicide Squad or some sort of form of that. And thats fine it has been working for it with the exception being Freeze. I fill his story introduction they have gone with (that being the Nora tale) was to big to stuff into this type of tale. While Bane an Harley have always worked well with groups of villains in fact they thrive on it. And this new version of joker(John Doe) was made for this story on purpose, they just took the 90s batman freeze and stuck him in and that just does not work well for his character arc, its to big of an arc to share with others. maybe if they completely made there own freeze for this story like joker it would be fine but right now he fills stuffed in just so they could have an extra villain in the group. lot of us thought the silhouette for him in 2 was Hugo Strange and perhaps it should have been as he would of worked better for this concept or instead have freeze be the villain of episode 1 and give Riddler his spot as he's a character that can work fine with a team dynamic. What are your guy's thoughts on freeze, is his tale to big to be placed in this story or am i overthinking it.

I like him, feel we should see more of him and should give the story a chance before judging whether he should or shouldn't have been in the game.
O I like him to i just don't think he will be able to get his change in the spotlight to his fullest as he will have to share it with all the other plots going on. The Nora story is to big.
I think he's underused. We haven't seen much of him or learnt much of his backstory so far, and with John Doe taking the spotlight real soon, unfortunately I don't think we're getting much more of Freeze. I like him, I want to know more. Hopefully he gets brought back in the future.
I feel like both Bane and Freeze have been underused. Freeze and Bane have been in painted in very broad strokes. All we know about Freeze is that he only cares about Nora and seems to take his anger out on people. Freeze will kill people even if they have already been neutralized. He compares killing people for his science experiments to that of corporations - and implies that the Wayne corporation and corporations in general have a lot of blood on their hands - he is probably right about that, but he misses the point that it is wrong in both scenarios. Freeze is the epitome of selfishness and self-centeredness. I don't know where you go with that in terms of redeeming him.
With Bane, it was sort of suggested in the second episode that he has a gripe against the privileged (his dig about Bruce being a useless aristocrat) and has class angst but then he says that the world in general is unjust place so that lends itself to a nihilistic point of view on justice. For Bane, maybe, might makes right and it doesn't matter if that causes suffering. If he has any goals or aspirations beyond himself we have yet to learn of it. Like maybe he will take his ill-gotten gains and share it with the village he grew up in. Who knows?
I think this season, more so than the last, is a bit over-stuffed with villains. Plus we have the questionable character of Waller, the introduction of Tiffany, and continuations of Alfred and Cats. Cats took up so much of episode three that we hardly got to spend any time with Tiffany or learn about Bane or Freeze.
Yeaah, I wish they'd given him more screentime or relevance to the story, because so far he was just there. There are 2 more episodes to go, so they still have plenty of time to change that. But with how the things are currently unfolding, I don't expect they'll do much with Freeze, which is a shame, because he's one of the best Batman villains.
Maybe he'll sabotage the ice box, if you took the fall.
Why would Freeze do such a thing? I mean, there must have been a reason why Freeze was involved in something related to the Sanctus project (which we only know has to do with a virus involving human subjects) and that may be a way for the group to make a lot of money or the research might help him heal Nora... but why would having Bruce necessarily help him achieve his objective?
Because if you say the right thing Bruce promises to house Nora while Freeze conducts research, giving him a wealth of resources at Wayne Enterprises as well as a safeguard for keeping Nora alive in case he gets arrested.
Maybe Freeze is actually in with sanctus. There is going to be a twist at some point right? Where Bruce has to make a change of plans or some such.
Freeze is ruthless and he doesn't care about anyone other than Nora. So I don't see him having an issue with the things sanctus has done so long as their providing him the resources he needs for his wife.
I think we'll see more of Freeze in episode 4 hopefully.
I agree, Freeze has gotten the least amount of screentime to the point where i feel like we get just one cool scene with him here and there to remind us he even exists. He's going to need a lot of screentime in episodes 4 and 5 to get things further along.
So Freeze is hedging his bets? They get whatever this Sanctus project is (research or money, possibly both) and then Freeze still wants to use the resources at Wayne Enterprises?
