Me! I'm a huge fan, my favorites books are the hunger games's trilogy, I have all of them and I watched all the movies. And yeah I agree that the books are way better than the movies, though I still love the movies.
I recently finished reading the books and I really enjoyed them. Haven't gotten around to seeing the movies, yet, though. Planing to watch them during the holidays.
I haven't read a lot of books but all three are definitely up there in my favorites. I loved the concept, the characters, the story... The whole thing. Would definitely recommend it.
So, what's everyone's favorite character from the first hunger games book? Mine is either Katniss or Peeta
Katniss obviously
Rue, her death was the most emotional in my opinion
Gale
Tresh
Cinna
Prim
Effie
Haymitch
Maybe I forgot someone because the book it's pretty old and it's been awhile since i don't read it. But these are my favorites. I can't choose a number one because I love all of them, I think my top 3 are Katniss, Rue and Cinna.
Yes, I love Haymitch, Effie, Cinna, and little Prim reminds me of my own little sister. That is why her death in mockingjay was really hard on me. So, you didn't mention Peeta dose that mean you were on team Gale?

Yes, so sad Katniss sacrifice herself, did everything she could to protect her and at the end, she dies...

Don't get me wrong, he's Ok for me, but he has attitudes that I didn't like and I never liked him so much, Idk why. And yes, I'm team Gale and in my opinion he should be with Katniss for a lot of reasons. Anyway I respect people who like Petta and ship him wih katniss.

I've actually been interested in reading that, since I love the Hunger games so much. If your looking for books similar to the hunger games you should try Divergent or the Maze runner. There both really good reads.
I haven't watched the movies, but in both cases I've been turned off from the books by them. Oddly, the sci-fi/fantasy aspects turned me off. I want my dystopia based in reality. I got the book Article 5... but I find that oddly unsatisfying too, for two reasons. There is not nearly enough exposition for me to feel grounded in that world (like, there was a war which lasted for five years but no mention of who declared war on America or how America became a theocracy thereafter) and the main characters inconsistency.

I like the Hunger Games, although the books are better than the movies IMO
I couldn't agree with you more. I love the books.

Cinna. Easily my favorite character from the HG.
Dose anyone else think Cinna died too soon?
Dose anyone think there should be a Hunger games prequel?
Was there something in any of the hunger games books that disappointed any of you? For me I felt like mocking jay needed a bit more to it.
Katniss is the best character in the books by far
Also really enjoy Prim
However, movie Katniss is such a disservice to the character IMO
Yes. Also, that the casting choice for that role (Lenny Kravitz) was terrible. I imagined Alan Cummings for that role.
I would buy that game in a heartbeat.
If you love the Hunger Games, you should check out Collin's Gregor series - it's for a younger audience but the writing is fantastic.
Cinna. I'd love a book just on Cinna.
Yes, I would like to know more of Cinna's back story.

A VERY VERY terrible series after the decent first one
