Which LucasArts licences would you like to see Telltale pick up?

edited August 2009 in General Chat
This is more of a dream thread than anything else. There is only so much Telltale can do in any given year so to demand they pick up LucasArts entire back catalog is a little unfair.

That being said if Telltale tale were to pick up more games from LucasArts past what ones would you like to see?

(Side note: I'm going to combine Maniac Mansion with DotT and combine the two Indy games [The Last Crusade and the Fate of Atlantis] because they are both series.)

hmm, some of these games aren't really good for a sequel. the dig and grim fandango are such ips. the original stories are pretty much concluded and in a new part you would probably have to drop either the setting or the the known characters.
mike stemmle said, he would like a loom sequel...i am not sure about this.
in my opinion zak mackraken would be best suited for episodic gaming. you could solve a mystery in every episode, a bit like a funny x-files. on the other hand sam&max season two already went in that direction.
maniac mansion and dott were great too, but i am not in the mood for it recently. indy is probably to epic, for an episodic format..

Definitely Day of the Tentacle (Maniac Mansion is cool too). I have faith in Telltale for doing something great with it.

I'm also edging towards the idea of Full Throttle; there's probably a lot they could do with it.

And I'd like to see the Loom series continued, but I prefer the idea of the rest of the trilogy finished rather than an episodic series. That said, an episodic series would still be better than nothing. Again, I imagine that Telltale would be reliable to come up with something good.

The only one I don't think Telltale should do is Indiana Jones. Like wisp said, probably not a good choice for an episodic series. Besides, LucasArts are still making Indiana Jones games, I understand. (I've only played the old games though so I couldn't comment on the newer ones)

probably zak mckracken, tho i cant remember how it ends so im not sure if itd be easy to setup a sequel or not. but i know i loved that one :)

From what I understand of the quality of new Indy games maybe a return to the Adventure game genre would be a positive boon for out Fedora-waring friend.

I doubt Telltale would go for it. Still, it would be interesting.

(Click: swing on vine! Indy's reply: "That's just stupid!")

The puzzles are good but the combat system in The Last Crusade killed the game for me. I still can't get past Nazi castle  That stupid green health bar, if your health regenerated fully after every fight it would be OK but instead you are forced to find an alternative option to get past almost every Nazi. It's madness.

which is why i consider it a maze lol. having to know EXACTLY what to say each time is pretty crazy...and some you have to have items from the beginning of the game to avoid fighting them.

It just stopped being fun. It's needless trial and error. I'm considering looking up a walkthrough just to get past the damn Nazi's. It's almost like they've designed it so you have to use a walkthrough!

thats what i did, honestly. and i HATE resorting to that in adventure games. the design just gave me no other choice. i'm all for the classic adventure games, but i wish i could get my 5 bucks back that i spent on this...

Yeah, it seems a walkthrough is really the only choice, which is a god damned nuisance! No game should be designed that way! Fate of Atlantis more then atoned though. If you didn't like the combat, just press

I would personally like to see Telltale do justice with Full throttle and Grim Fandango. I just hope they don't screw up ben's voice
