G-sync doesn't cause lag and only works on certain monitors(if I'm not mistaken, you are using an older monitor, so it shouldn't matter anyw… moreay). V-sync causes lag.
Edit: Some people whom were running the game at a higher refresh rate have found that locking it down to 60hz has helped.

I tried disabling vsync & setting refresh rate to 60hz. but i'm still getting the lag.
