Kurt is in the House :)
Hello dear Telltale Community !
I am heavily interested in Adventure Games;
the last ones I played were Sam & Max and Tales of Monkey Island from Tell-Tale Games, that was six years ago.
This Board is gigantic .. I will need some time before I realy can join the discussion.
My favourite Adventure was Full Throtte as its hero Ben was a completely normal fellow and the things he experienced were not all to fantastic only a bit exagarated in a physical meaning .. like the bunnies that cleaned up the mine field, or maureen precisely ejecting out of the destruction derby right next to the hard tail, or in the very end where the transporter hung out of the plane which itself hung at the ridge of the gourge.
I started with Back to the Future but somehow I couldnt make a real connection to the game.
Marty was designed and voiced very well but the puzzles in their chaotic way(like in Sam & Max) didnt work for me here. I hope it will not be all to hard for me to find an Adventure that is fitting my taste.

Pah! I thought this was a thread about Cory in the House. Stickman was about to correct you and squee about it but I find I have been sorely mistaken. Welcome to Stickman's humble abode, Heavily Interested in Adventure Games!
OMFG same ??
Nice to meet you Hope you enjoy the forums!
With the current Telltale sale, Hector is only $4, so you might want to give that one a look! It's an iOS game ported to PC, so it still feels like an iOS game, just bigger. The British "humour" in it is also a bit raunchy, so stay away if you're offended easily.
The newer adventure games by Telltale are more story-driven. You might want to check out a YouTube sample play to see what they're like before deciding if you want to try one.
Hector was pretty good. I enjoyed the Puzzle Agent games too, even if they're short.
Welcome
What is special for me about Telltale Adventures is that they do hypnotize me in a Way. They are full of pation and Atmosphere. I just watched some Guardians of the Galaxy and realy was hauled in the action. Maybe I just continue with Back to the Future and try to accept the weird puzzles - the voice of Christopher Llouyd is just to amazing to be missed out
May I ask when and why Telltale decided to switch from puzzles to quick-choice action in their Adventures?
Cos it’s more fun to watch heads fall off and people get beaten up?
i agree
I still love a good puzzle, but I prefer not to be bombarded with them and instead have a bunch of QTE’s and options to kill some ppl
Telltale thought that more recognizable licenses that were easier to play would lead to more game sales and higher profits.
"When" would be 2011 with Jurassic Park: The Game The Interactive Experience The Movie(had to bring that back).
yeah.. that was my guess
back in the glory days - there was gore too!
fester shinetop gore explodes to reveal lechuck
At around 22 Years of Age I have been to the US for a Month .. without money and a Plan.
The funny thing about this is that I was able to live there without any effort and all went well without problems .. except the brute heat and moisture.
As a German I am close to a retard .. even after 40 Years of living there.
So my character is much more that of an US-Citizen living a german lifestyle.
That has its advantages:
I am very creative but still have a special and very german mental focus.
My voice and articulation is overwhelmingly intense.
I have a very high social resilience.
And among many other things I nearly have no subconsciousness -> no greater need for chaos in any way .. like a tibetan monk
My intention for this thread is to find my way back into the world of computer adventures and in it the focus should lie on my person in the first place.
Any relation to Cory?
Glad to have you here buddy
