Why are the counselors in the Friday The 13th game stupid and act like complete and utter Morons.

So i've been playing the Friday The 13th as of late and everytime i see the intros to each map, i think how stupid are these people. I'm going to list down all the things that make them act like complete and utter morons.
They sit and Dance in the rain. So the intro's don't even change in the rain. You still see them act like complete morons and see them out in the rain. Have they never heard anything such as a cold, if so, i think they want one.
They leave medKits and pocket knifes everywhere. So they leave medkits and pocket knifes like everywhere. In cabins, In Campsites, etc. I wonder if they really are fit to be a counselor and look after kids. Cause i wouldn't leave my kids in charge with them.
and those are just some of the things. And i'll link this video and this was just the turning point for me, if they act like this, then WOW. Enjoy.

I think you're putting way too much thought into this. It's a simple game based on simple films. The whole premise is dumb people doing dumb things and getting killed for it. Overthinking it gives you Jason Goes To Hell.

Jason's just looking out for the kids. Stupid counselors let him drown and now it's his mission to kill all the stupid ones.

it's called a horror plot device. people act uncharacteristically stupid and unreal just to move the story along and let the killer get their kill. best not to dwell on it. it's been a staple in horror since it's humble origins.
