Ch2 Treasure Hunting?

edited September 2009 in Tales of Monkey Island
When do the new treasures come out? Anyone know? Are they out already? I didn't see any empty slots in my treasure chest thingy, all full...

Sorry if this is a repeat thread but I didn't see another one about Ch2 Treasure.

Cool, post #100.

OK Maybe I should rephrase my question:

Will there be ANY more treasures unlocked throughout the rest of the season BESIDES the 8 I already have?

Gosh, there won't be treasure maps for chapter 2.

They said it's a chapter 1 ONLY, and btw. there are no jungle treasure puzzles is chapter two anyway.

    WHAAAAAA?

I could have sworn there was talk of the 'treasures only getting better as the season goes on.'

I could have sworn the treasure hunting was going to be a season long thing...

Weird.. Oh well, I mean I already used all the coupons and I like all the extra stuff so I'm happy and won't be disappointed if there's no more... But I could've sworn there was going to be more...

I need to get more sleep.

Well I didnt expect an actual 'mode' where you're walking through the jungle. I just thought they'd unlock more maps/spaces on the treasure chest page.

as far as what Jake said, it is a season-long thing, but only for episode 1.

Oh well talk about mis-interpretation. lol

So in other words once the season is over then the unlockable maps and items are turned off? For lack of better wording...

    I guess that makes sense...

    /facepalm man I suck lol

Well, Jake only said that there will only be maps for episode 1, but not if there will be any more or not.

Cool, thanks for your help. Either way no biggie.

I'm confused about this too. SO there will be more treasures, just that they will all be unlocked on episode 1 with the exception of wiiware which they can't all be unlocked season wide on wiiware. Can a telltale worker confirm this?

Uhmm, the episode 1 thing is only in reference to you needing to launch episode 1 (or the demo, I think) to play the treasure hunt mode.

There has already been at least one new map released in response to episode 2 content, that gives a pdf of DeCava's journal as a reward. You can add that map by "finding" the map on one of the MI web sites:

Yeah, the game actually has more maps.

They are (click to see the map names):
    MAPLACIEA
    FALHALA
    CLAMPAXIA
    NOSTLAGUHH
    GOODGREEFIA
    POLLYGONUS
    MEMLEST

(all grabbed from a language file found here).

And the codes to unlock them. The thing is that the codes to unlock these maps do not work just yet as the maps haven't been activated with a prize or image placeholder on the site.

Does anybody know if I'll be able to use my half-off a season code for season 3 of S&M?

It says for anything but Monkey Island so I would say yes, it probably will let you.

as long as season 3 will be released this year...or you can at least preorder it.

That was released before chapter 2 came out.

First I've heard of this, but I couldn't find it on the web site. Any help would be appreciated!

I think the point about episode one is that when they release future maps, they will be for episode one. In other words, there will not be a treasure hunting section for episodes two to five. Any new map will show up (when properly unlocked) in the episode one treasure hunting section.

Tales of MI net, MI Wiki, and World of MI all have the same map. I only bothered to find it on the Tales of MI site (the one that's linked).

    The clue was:

On this here blog you’ll find it with the source of much rejoicing.
It's in the announcement that the MI franchise has returned (maybe the first or second post on the site, link looks like an olive through a mini sword, keep hitting previous posts or search the archives to find it).

Thanks! I had done some searching, but apparently not enough. :)
