What do you think of this movie? Might you see it?

That Seamstress looks pretty creepy, so I'm kinda iffy with this one.

But it still looks pretty cool.

    I'm always iffy on Burton films. The only one I outright love is Nightmare Before Christmas.

    But this one seems like it could be more than gothic eye-candy, so I guess I'm in.

    I completely forgot about 9! I definitely want to see it. I love all things stop-mo, and Coraline left me wanting more along that Burtonesque theme. I just wish it was being done in RealD. I'm hooked on that tech.

    I hope Burton has as little to do with it as possible, then it will be good.

    It's actually based on a short film by Shane Acker, so it has some hope there.

    Burton is great on aesthetics. Most things he works on are stylistic genius, they're just not good films by any other metric under the sun.

    The only Burton films I ever liked were the first two Batman films.

    He is the director of the film also. Burton is all about style, no substance. He has made one excellent film though: Mars Attacks.

    They couldnt have planned a more pefect opening for 9. It takes place on 9-9-09 and if you were to add them. 9 plus 9 plus 0 plus 9 equals 27 if you were to ad that, 2 plus 7 is 9 Creepy huh.

    nope, there is a property of all multiples of 9 that the sum of the digits to the smallest form would total 9. so with 9 x 55= 495, 4+9+5=18, 1+8=9.

    I have no clue what you are talking about.
    I was just saying that is you were to add 9-9-09 together aka 9 plus 9 plus 0 plus 9 you would get 27 and if you were to add those digits aka 2 plus 7, you would get 9.

    His point is that you are basically multiplying 9 by 3 to get 27, and since 27 is a multiple of 9, the digits will add up to 9.

    For example:

    1x9 = 9, 9 = 9
    2x9 = 18, 1+8 = 9
    3x9 = 27, 2+7 = 9
    4x9 = 36, 3+6 = 9
    5x9 = 45, 4+5 = 9
    ...
    5127x9 = 46143, 4+6+1+4+3 = 18, 1+8 = 9

    I hope that makes it a little clearer.

    it was also the fact that 9909 is also a multiple of 9. Maths is fun.

    That's what my first thought was too.

    I was expecting the movie to be something like Bionicle, but it turned hot to be more Terminator-esque.

    That's always what happens when I'm going to see a movie. :(
